I only have that as the transition words as the problem and the face is still green so I will ignore. I'll be interested to hear if Rank Math gives different responses though. To be honest I found the SEO bit more useful than the readability... I'll be the judge of that!
Rank Math scores posts out of 100, based on categories Basic SEO, Additional SEO, title readability and content readability. The readability suggestions all seem more practical (with the exception of "Your SEO title doesn't contain a number" - now I know why so many blog posts are titled" 20 ways to ..." etc).

It uses traffic light colours for the score out of 100, then ticks and crosses for the suggestions. It isn't compatible with Yoast, but you can import your stuff from Yoast (keyword, snippet) and Rank Math deactivates Yoast when it's installed. Also, it appears on the right of the page with the score at the top so you don't need to scroll to the bottom of the post to keep checking your score.

Tell you one thing which rankmath is good at which is schemas
Another thing to add to the list!

Rank Math looks good so far anyway, although if you like to know if your writing style is passive etc then Yoast would be best. My most passive post according to Yoast isn't being flagged up by Rank Math.

I'm getting there slowly. I need to sort out my categories, tags, and social media accounts next. I went with Hostpresto using the TMS discount code. I'm very pleased with them and would recommend.

Next question to bloggers - do you always get your Yoast traffic lights green? My SEO traffic lights are all green but I'm struggling with some of the readability ones. Most are green, but some are amber. Is it bad if I leave them amber? Will this affect SEO? I want them all to be green but don't want my posts to sound unnatural (which they will if I make the recommended changes).

I don't even use Yoast anymore, I find it treats you like an idiot more than anything. Google is much smarter than Yoast gives it credit for so as long as you optimise your SEO you will be found. I do however use The SEO Framework as that allows me to add my meta title/description etc without me stressing about making everything green.

I've just had a look at the SEO Framework, thanks. I might give that a try too and see which I prefer. Better to try them all now than change them when my blog is live.

Yep. I like SEO Framework. Nice and simple. It SEEMS to run alongside Rank Math (which is good because I can't see where to set my keyword with SEO Framework - I think this is a premium feature).

Probably a daft question but how important is a focus keyword, and is there a way I can manually add keywords in Wordpress without using an SEO plugin? It seems that's all I can't do on SEO Framework for free.

You can all your keyword into the url (slug) SERP, Heading, body of the article, alt image text all by yourself

in terms of finding good keywords I use keysearch.co

This is why I don't like Yoast - it makes you think you need to add a "keyword" into it's little checkbox area in order for content to be found. As long as you've added your key words into the URL, meta title, meta description, post headings and content then you're all good - you don't need to tell anywhere what the keyword of the post is. If that makes sense?

It's why SEO Framework doesn't ask what the keyword is. Yoast does because it'll then read your post to tell you if you've included it enough times and where you're missing it - you can do that yourself with a checklist :)

I messed up my Twitter account. I set it up a while ago so I could check that the social media widgets were linking correctly. I didn't post or follow anyone and now it's suspended. I appealed about 3 weeks ago and sent a followup email. It looks like I can't have it back since I've heard nothing at all (unless anyone has any tips to get it back?). Can I just open another Twitter account (and post/follow etc straight away) or will they just suspend that too? I would really prefer to know the reason for the suspension before I make a new account but they never sent me an email...

In case anyone is interested, there was nothing offensive at all, just a normal name, short bio with a link to my blog (which has a coming soon page) and a profile pic that I made on Canva, so nothing that breaks their rules I don't think. I'm convinced they suspended it because I didn't use it at all for a month.

To be honest I've been using this Twitter suspension as an excuse not to launch the blog, but I've got a child free week next week so will have time to crack on with it. I'm just not sure if I should try again with Twitter or just not bother with a Twitter account (which would be a shame because it's the only platform I'm familiar with).

Thanks
