Just wondering cause there is an offer on Oh My Dosh where you deposit £10 and get a free trial with £500 for 7 days. You then earn £15 through Oh My Dosh if you have played through te money. Has anyone done this?

Never tried it, feels like it might be a bit like Forex Trading where unless you invest thousands you won't really be earning much

Its £500 risk free for 7 days. So if you don't make a profit in the 7 days you can ask for your £500 back. Considering how little the players values would move in a week, i doubt there would be much point in doing it. Might get lucky I suppose but the players values are likely to move quicker around transfer windows when there are rumors and speculation, I should think.

The football index is clearly the new Cheltenham!

Apparently they release 2 new players in to the market on a Friday and their value immediately goes up, so that's the trick to the risk free offer. Not tried it yet though.

I have no doubt that with number crunching and appropriate research Football Index could be +EV, but it's gambling and therefore high risk. It deffo something I wouldn't do unless I was already sitting on a healthy bank and could afford to lose the money if it all went wrong.

How much of a bankroll do you think you would need to do it?

How much of a bankroll do you think you would need to do it?

I'm deffo not the right person to ask as I'm not doing it and if I do, it wouldn't be for a while so take my comments with a pinch of salt as I'm just going off impressions from the little I've read and effectively plucking opinions from my you-know-where.

It's basically a Fantasy Football Stock Market - if there's no minimum investment required theoretically you could do it with as little as 1 'Share'/Footballer - I think I read that the top goal scorers go for around £15/£20 a share and you'd get Buzz dividends paid every time they scored or get mentioned positively in the news etc which sounds like they pay out 5p or whatever a pop so if they are the Kane's or the Messi's obviously will add up quickly.

The risk side of things is, if your player is out of form, injured etc then no dividends, and if they are out for the season and drop off the 200 list, your Share(s) becomes worthless unless you can sell it in time (it works like an Exchange though, you can only sell your Share if there is money in the market ie. someone needs to want to buy it). Same if they retire from football or I think I also saw the Shares have a 3 year shelf life.

Also as you need a buyer before you can sell your shares then it could mean that even when you want to sell (which can be at a profit), it might not be super-quick so instant access back to your funds sounds unlikely.

If you just want the equivalent of a MB'ing punt bet for fun, maybe you could get a Share on a top player for a little vested interest to your football each week and it would be cheap and cheerful and if it goes to hell, you've only lost £20 or whatever.

If you wanted to properly make money from it - well I saw a guy on PA who seemed to know his football and he was talking about getting in the region of a 30% return on what he'd put in so far but he didn't say how much his initial investment was. Basically I think it's the MB mantra, the more you have to put in, the more you can potentially get - though in this case it's not risk free.

The risk free offer is for £500 so maybe you could take as an indicator of an expected starting point.

It does look and sound pretty interesting tbh (and fun), it's just not something I'm ready for yet. Maybe when the new football season starts later in the year though.

Incidentally, not sure if you're watching that PA thread but there's a conversation on there and the guy who started the thread said he started with £50 (but if he'd known what he knew now would have put in more). So seems like the £500 risk free is waaaay higher than needed to be able to still have a bit of fun with it.

I may consider lumping a few quid in for giggles after all.

Hi all, this is a guide I created for my matched betting community which has really taken off and I thought it may suit some of the members here for some easy money online!

The normal sign up offers is to have a go at the £500 risk free offer and see if you can turn a profit within 6 days - otherwise use the refund (which I can confirm does work) but you then don’t make any money. One strategy is to try buy the 2 new players super cheap each week but you are fighting against bots and unless you have had 5 cups of coffee and maybe turned into a robot yourself… This does not do well.

If you instead sign up through footyindexscout and spend a mere £25 (vastly better than committing half a grand) they will award you with £50 ‘bonus cash’. Now, this cash is technically withdrawable as per Term 1 in the T’s and C’s link below buuuut…

Abuse - To avoid getting flagged I suggest buying into some shares and then selling them a few days to a week later. This way you may win/lose a few pounds if their value changes but you won’t get flagged and lose the £50… If you are scared about the price changes you can even do this between match days for your chosen player to minimise this!

On top of this £50 if you use my referral code “3116” I will get paid £10 for the referral - of which I will send you £5 :)

Note: If you do get flagged, I heavily assume the £10 referral money won’t arrive either (No cases of this so far though!)

Have a read of the full terms: https://trade.footballindex.co.uk/footy-index-scout

KEY POINT - You will not receive cashback if you use the £500 7-day refund offer.

Top tips for successful cashback tracking
  • Make sure you have adblockers off (crucial)
  • Once you click through to footyindex sign up and spend the money immediately
  • Don’t visit the main football index website through google etc. - only through footyindex scout (If you have, no biggie, just clear browser history and cookies and go again).
  • Follow the guide, It’s tried and tested!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Strategy:

1. Go to https://www.footyindexscout.co.uk/public/page/football-index-new-customer-30-sign-up-deal and complete the form using my refer a friend code 3116. This will then open up the football index website.

2. Sign up to football index (there should be a generated code in the ‘referral code’ section on page 2 on footyindex, leave this as it is)

3. Deposit £25 in your first deposit and try to find a player with a price that allows you to spend every penny! E.g. 10 shares of a £2.50 player. If not, deposit another £5/10 and buy one more share to tip you over the £25 threshold.

(There is a weird bug where the site sometimes doesn’t let you spend every penny, not sure if this is a currency conversion thing etc. If you have exactly £25 and it won’t let you buy exactly 10 shares for £25 but allows 9 for £22.50… this is what’s happening. Make a second deposit of £5/10 as above and then buy the £25 of shares)

4. Congratulations you have qualified for the cashback!

5. Email support@footballindex.co.uk and quote “Footy Index Scout” or “Scout” to request the £50 bonus, which could take 3-4 days to arrive from experience. DO not attempt to withdraw anything or sell shares before this or you will exempt yourself from the bonus cash.

6. Bonus money received (they won’t email you so remember to check) - Great! You technically should be able to withdraw the £50 at this stage but… read the above abusesection. If you don’t care, go for 6A, if you want to play it safe (recommended) go for 6B

6A) Sell your shares, withdraw original £25 and the £50 bonus cash
OR
6B) Maintain the original £25 of shares, invest the £50 of bonus shares for another few days to a week. Then sell off everything and withdraw!

7. Wait up to 30 days for cashback to reach me

8. Cashback payment - I pay through paypal automatically to the email address you signed up with. You only need to message me if you want it sent to a different paypal address.

Example message "Hi Gimli, I signed up and made the purchases on 24th of Feb with lordoftherings@gmail.com but my actual paypal is oneringtorulethemall@gmail.com "

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other bits:

I leave chat rooms a lot to keep things tidy but never hesitate to hit me up again with any questions/problems.

Some people are very generous and tell me to keep all the referral money as they’re happy with the fiddy. If you’re one of these amazing citizens chuck me a message as I will need your sign up email :)

Any questions holla!

Hi dude, the £50 bonus is seperate to your £25 you deposit.

E.g. Deposit £25, eventually withdrawing £75 (25 +50). Plus the £5 I send you via paypal. Does that clear it up?

30 more cashbacks since the last time I posted - absolutely huge.

Don't forget to message me with your paypal email if it is different to your signup one!
