Its probably a unfair comparison as you rarely see the sellers talk about when they are earning loads.

Reselling works if, as the OP says, "You buy cheap and you sell high"

Reselling doesn't work if you are selling the same items that EVERYONE has got from Tesco when they reduced their stock. You need to do as the OP does and find items for 20p and sell for £10.

You are 100% on the money on that one the number of times I've seen offers go up on hotukdeals which everyone pounces on and then they end up on ebay and the prices just drop and drop and drop.

A good example of this was the SNES Minis last year which didn't go out of stock like the NES Minis did and people were putting them on ebay for like £100 after buying them for £60 odd and they couldn't then shift the stock to turn a profit because suddenly black Friday week appeared and everywhere was selling them for £43 and the bottom well and truly fell out!

Reselling DOES work. a lot of bloggers are making out its super easy but the reality is good resellers do a lot more than buy job-lots of ebay and sell seperately.

10 tools from a carboot bought for £2 but sold for £200 a week and you've got a very nice sideline. But you need to know your tools and not just buy the reduced 'Stanley'-brand from Argos when the toolkits are reduced down from £110 to £20.

I love hearing about people making money, but its a bit like talking to a gambling addict - you hear about the wins, yet never the losses.

I think everyone, no matter what business* is sick of the hot weather now. It makes everyone lethargic. I am really looking forward to some rain and cooler weather but still no sign of it in the south east.

*Except ice cream sellers perhaps.

Clothes don’t seen to be selling too well at the moment

Or people are buying the wrong stuff or too much of it but resellers on instagram seem to be giving it away on Facebook just to get rid of the damn stuff!
