Hi Everybody

Just a quick note. Gener8 don't get any money from the advertising that has paid to be displayed. At best it intercept adverts and replaces them with ones it does get paid for.

At worst, it cares not 1 bit about the adverts, it wants your data - banking data/passwords/log-ins/etc.

Be a bit Internet-Savvy and make sure you understand what you are selling to get your 'tokens'.

:)

Thanks,

The Reverend

Gener8 adds seems quite good, i've made points easily, daily, by not doing much other than click on the ads when i see them (if i want to click on them). Easy to redeem prizes, best thing is its free.

Here is my referral link to join if you'd like :)

You folk keep putting up your referral links and I still don't fully understand what Gener8 is and why there seems to be such a push for referrals

When I didn't have gener8 running on chrome, I used to get all different types of ads. Sometimes good. But, now, all I get is pictures of pugs, swans, flamingos etc. Though I am not sure about the tokens thing, I am happy with that.

Hi everyone, my first post here!

I've been using Gener8 for a few months. I haven't used the affiliate feature yet - I've shared it on social media once, but didn't want to spam it out.

Couple of the questions that people have asked are in their FAQ's. They're asking users to refer to get on the marketplace to generate a userbase. The argument is, once enough people are using the platform, then the advertisers will have to take notice of them as an alternative, which gives them more leverage ('we have 250,000 users on our platform, which you can advertise to directly through us). So it's a growth thing, I think. Advertisers won't really care about 10,000 users who are on Gener8's ad blocker instead of others like Adblock.

I'm also sceptical to a degree, but figured I was using Adblock previously, so it's just a different method that *might* also turn into passive income as well if it takes off. In the meantime, it just sits on my bar, blocking ads and slowly accuring tokens, so I'm happy enough with that.

One thing is for certain - the model of obtaining people's data for targeted marketing isn't going to go away. GDPR only covers personally identifiable information. It doesn't cover device identification. To an advertiser, that's just as valuable; when you're online, your cookies are basically you. Intelligent targeted marketing is only going to get bigger. I don't think that's a bad thing - I'm not an MI5 agent, or a huge celebrity, so I'm not really that bothered about how much companies know about me if the main purpose is to tell me about things I'm more likely to buy, instead of ads aimed at my demographic.

What is on this marketplace that everyone keeps talking about and how do you buy stuff off it? points or something?

Colin thanks for your input about companies wanting to buy device data rather than personal data to target ads. That makes a lot of sense.

How is all this going for everyone?

I don't seem to see as many people promoting it on social media anymore so I am wondering if it has died a death / things not worked out as promised for installing the browser plugin??

I can give you a definite answer if 2 folks sign up to my link. This is the only way to enter the Marketplace but I have made 198 points that took around a month for each 100. Bear in mind, I do not use the computer that often.

I have the Gener8 extension installed, but haven't really bothered trying to get referrals yet. I know there was people complaining about it because whenever they went to trade their tokens in, items were sold out too quickly. I know that it is legit though ( or at least it used to be, can only assume it's still OK ), as my son also uses the extension, and has managed to get some Amazon Gift Cards from it. I suppose I should really try and get those referrals to see if I can get something myself. I have built up 705 tokens so far, so would be interesting to see what I could actually trade them in for.

Took me all morning to send an email to a potential client because I was nervous about the amount of money I was asking for. Pretty sure this never happens to men.
