Getting a cheaper mobile phone tariff vs the faff that's involved with getting that!

I'm out of contract (well I've been out of contract for years!) and am just looking to see if I can get a better deal on my sim only deal.

I'm currently with Three on a 30 day rolling contract for £9 for 4GB data with unlimited mins / texts (not that the latter mean anything!)

I've looked around this morning and discovered that Three don't even offer the £9 tariff I'm on anymore and the best deal I can get is £8 for 5GB.

To take advantage of this huge £1 a month saving I have to give 30 days notice to Three, and sign up to Virgin Mobile and blah blah blah

I'm just not the sort of person that can be bothered to jump through hoops I think to save £1 a month!

Is anyone else like this when it comes to 'saving money'?

Does there need to be a substantial saving for you to bother with all the faff??

I’d probably not for £1/2 a month.

However I did cancel my EE contract and go on a Three Sim Only deal. Went from £40 a month to £12 a month.
It is a 12 month deal and the moment it is over I’m going back to EE.

I’m sure you get more than £1 a month in freebeeees from Wuntu!

I was prepared to do anything to get away from 3. I would probably change but on the basis of rewarding and encouraging companies that give the best deals. I am sure Virgin are grateful for the £5 a month I am paying them - soon to rise to£6 though.

My issue is that my mobile internet on my phone.

With EE I got a real-world 4g faster speed than my home broadband.

With 3 I barely got a 4g signal at all (not even year 2004 broadband speeds). I’ve had to turn off 4G and I get about 5mb (on a good day) from 3G.

That for me is more important than saving a quid or two.
