Long story short.
I dabbled with Matched Betting around 2009 when I had a partner. Despite doing reasonably well with it, time and tide (and relationship breakdown) meant that it got sidelined.
As a single parent, full time carer and on a DMP, I'm pretty tired of just 'getting by'. I would like to clear my debt and raise capital for a home based business.
Ok, so a few questions.
1) After all this time, is it possible that my old bookie accounts will still be active?
2) If so, would a new e-mail address and account mean I could re-register as a newbie?
3) In relation to the new account, it's Revolut. Anyone have experience of using this method successfully?
4) Is an investment of £150 enough?
5) I'm not anticipating a quick fix, but my DMP is projected to run for two years. It's for £4K of debt. Is it realistic to clear this in half the time via MB?
Apologies for so many questions but you seem such a knowledgeable bunch and I would really appreciate your input.
Thanks for reading.

Hey Kate

Fantastic to see you back and posting, hope everything is OK with you :)

I would say if it’s from 2009 it’s almost certain those accounts have been closed so the good news is you can start again and plough through all the sign up offers :)

£150 is more than enough to get you started!!

1). Yes, unless you requested to remove your details.
2). No.
3). Isn't Revolut a new style banking system?
4). With £150 I'd do the low-hanging fruit style offers. Take every free spin and small free bet offer and grow your bankroll progressively. Look at the advent calendars for free spins.
5). It's possible, but not guaranteed.

Any more questions?

Hi guys, in relation to the account open/closed question I've found its best to jump on live chat asking "I can't remember my username, can you look me up on your system?" then go from there...

Yes, Revolut is a new banking system.
I use it to separate what I can spend from what I have to leave in my Cooperative account for bills.
It helps me stay out of trouble. :)

I would say this is a DEFINITE NO NO. Avoid LC as much as possible as this just flags you up. In theory opening up duplicate accounts is against the T&Cs, BUT so is MB. I am now on my third account with some bookies thanks to using a partners details and a move of house (with new bank account). They will soon tell you if there is a duplicate account.

1) Depends. Those you provided ID to may still have your details, and/or have a way to cross reference back.
2) DEFINITELY. I have a few times now. Of course this is against the T&Cs, but MB is also against the T&Cs, so go for it.
3) Can't help here
4) Yes. However, the bigger the bankroll the quicker you can get up to speed.
5) Just over 2 years in I am £26k up, so yes. I do spend more time than most doing it, so it will depend a lot on the time you can put in.

I'm sorry I don't agree with this at all. The former is possibly against the terms and they KNOW you are doing it. MBing cannot be proven, just because you're taking value - how do they KNOW you're matched betting? They don't.

And I go on live chat all the time since 2011. What flags you up is taking too much value, not contacting customer services to ask if they can help you find a username.

If you get caught multi accounting then that could be a world of pain.

You ask the question, then they know for sure, and they know you know so you have no 'excuse' about forgetting about the account, and no chance of the sign-up bonus.

But it is up to the individual to decide which way they want to go. I am £500 better off from not asking the question, so you takes your choice.

Yes it is ultimately at the individual's own discretion.
Nevertheless, an interesting discussion point.

I'd sign up as a new user with a new email and a different bank account and proceed with the sign up offers as a new customer. I highly doubt your old accounts will still be active if they were last used in 2009.

No idea about Revolut.

Hrumph!
Signed up on the Matched Betting service, fell at the first fence.
Both Coral and Betfair have identified me as an existing customer despite new e-mail and different bank account.
Guess I'll have to forgo the free offers.

There’ll be a boatload of sign up bookie offers you can do still :)
