Go Big or Split it up?

I've just finished writing a blog post about a 3 day cycling trip I did (Way of the Roses, Morecambe to Bridlington for anyone interested).

It is long and very detailed. It is the post that I would have loved to read before embarking on the trip myself.

My question is, do I split it into 3 seperate blog posts - Day 1, 2 and 3? Or do I just keep it as one, long, detailed post?

It is nice to have lots of different posts on the site and this could easily equate to 3... but then also I read somewhere that people appreciate having 1 long post about something because they can really see that you have put the effort into the post and it is more valuable as one.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts...

Yeah I would say unless there is a reason for it all to be one post you could split that up wirhout any issues

I agree with Jon, split it and you'll have 3 very good posts. Keyword them properly too just in case someone is looking for cycling for that particular area.

I always think splitting it up and using it as 'bait' to keep your readers coming back for the following 2 weeks would be for the best!

The post remains as one at the moment as I've not made the blog public yet. Will take a bit of tweaking to split it into 3 posts and I'm still undecided.

I do quite like the idea of having a series of posts though so will probably break it up in the end.

Once I finally hit the publish button I will post on here for constructive feedback... though I can't make any promises as to when that will be!
