Hello

Im just learning this so not entirely sure im on the right track to begin with. But on the google search console, I am confused about a few things

1 - when i copy the URL i want to submit, the date of the post is ahead of the post title so it comes up with domain/date/post title as the URL to be submitted.
Should I delete the date before submitting it?

2 - fetch and render.. I THINK it means submit for indexing. Is that right? Theres a 'request index' box next to it which ive clicked but if that is the right way to do it should I do this weekly, monthly etc?

Thanks

are you submitted 1 URL at a time to Google Webmaster instead of just doing a sitemap.

Yes.

You submit the sitemap to Google and it then indexes ALL THE PAGES on the sitemap

Ok Ill look into creating one tonight. How often should i submit the map

Just once

Once you do it Google Bot will continue visiting your site and will pickup any changes naturally

Not sure Ive got this bit rght. Ive gone into Yoast settings and on the features tab, its got XML sitemap already selected, View the sitemap states 'this XML sitemap index file contains five sitemaps'

So seeing that ive already manually submitted some posts today does this mean theyve been submitted twice? Is there any harm in manually submitting a new post as well?

Jon - do I just enter those links in Google fetch and render or do I need to do anything else first? Also, will new posts and pages automatically addto the site map
