Okay, so what type of bank does everyone use for all your lovely matched bettingness? :)

Do you use a separate account with your usual High Street bank? I've read that's not such a good idea because evidence of what looks like betting may bite you in the ass, loan application-wise, later on.

Or do you use something like Monzo or Starling on your mobile? Sounds safer, but would those banks be a red flag to bookies and they might gub you sooner?

I'd like to try MB but I'm stuck on this basic question of how best to fund it. Thanks.

Just my regular HSBC account for me - never had a problem getting a loan with HSBC since I started doing this god knows how many years ago lol

Use Starling. App-based, easy to use for deposits and withdrawals, including notifications of money in/out.

Very impressed with Starling.

I'm still in two minds about Starling. It's a name I keep seeing, but I don't like the idea of having to use Starling from my phone. I'm much happier using my PC and full-sized keyboard.

You wouldn't have to use the Starling app on your phone to do matched betting if that's what you are worried about

Do you mean once I've got a Starling account via my phone, that I could use the website to do all my matched betting stuff?

You do matched betting on betting sites

You don't do any of it via your online banking or anything. You simply make deposits by using your debit card like you would do if you purchase any product online.
