Where's the best place to look for a cheap caravan holiday? We're looking for a week away in August but don't want it to cost the earth. The site doesn't have to have loads of facilities, just be somewhere nice for my little girl and her cousin to play and have a few days out. Where's the best place to look, and does anyone have any tips to get a decent site at a good price? Needs to be within reasonable driving distance of Lancashire.

Thanks!

Hello!

Just had a quick look. I was wondering if there is such a thing as a caravan comparison site. Then I came across this: http://www.travelsupermarket.com/c/guides/holiday-parks/caravan-holidays/

Might be worth a look?

Hope it helps and you can find something reasonable.

I booked my hen do weekend with Hoseasons and they had a great Easter sale, so I would recommend having a look there!

I have used this site in the past
http://www.ukcaravans4hire.com

It is private owners subletting their vans on the big commercial holiday parks.
The holiday we had was fab and loads cheaper than going direct.

I thought you was going to Centreparcs and having a lodge with a hot tub? [member=258]alditoharrods[/member]

We were planning CP but we opted for an apartment in Norfolk with a hot tub - ended up being half the price :)

Oh that's a shame. CP is an experience worth the extra £s IMO. Sure you'll have a great time still xx

If you're planning on the second half of august look in Scotland - our schools are back by then and the prices and availability might be better

Breakfree Holidays is pretty good. They're a bit like Hoseasons, I believe.

Ruda in Croyde, Devon, is pretty good! I camp there a lot for surfing and the facilities are pretty awesome and you can even get half board catered for which is amazing when camping and not overly expensive at all. I know they have self catering static caravans and stuff too so would be worth looking into. Hope that helps!

Ruda in Croyde Bay is the best! Also Air BnB have caravans on, not sure whether they end up being cheaper or not, but they're on all the popular holiday sites.

If you are renting privately, always do your checks. Ring the sute to confirm that mr x or mrs y does have a caravan in that site...

Do ur own research for the site details x

AirBNB is a good bet I would say, stick to well reviewed hosts if you're nervous.

Also worth looking at sites like booking.com etc, they do sometimes have caravan sites etc.
