This isn't really a money earning diary as much as a money saving diary but I need more motivation to stop spending and keep saving!

Being single and living in the south east I need at least £25k to get a decent mortgage rate.

I've got a LISA with Moneybox that I'm hoping to save at least £600 a month in. I currently have £6600 with £625 waiting to clear and £200 government bonus pending. I also have £1740 in an easy access account.

I just need to stop spending! Clothes, takeaways, junk food. I must waste at least £100 a month on crap!

So, to kick this off:
£8340.70/25000

I would cut yourself some slack at the moment during this pandemic. Everything is so up in the air for everyone's lives and there was so few ways to get any kind of happiness that for many people buying something fills that void ;)

Thank you :) I'm aiming to meet my target by the end of 2022, but that's not factoring in any potential pay rises or bonuses.

I've been living with my uncle for 4 years when it was supposed to be temporary, so the sooner I can get my own place the better!

Hi Spike, what's your overall opinion of Moneybox now you've used it for quite some time? I'd like to know because I've seen many mixed opinions. My Moneybox review came to the conclusion that it's more for people new to investing that want a more 'hand off' approach. Is that the impression/experience you've had?

I didn't want to come across as over promotional- I've changed it now. I just want to gather viewpoints to make my reviews better. I include data from Trustpilot but those reviews tend to favour negative feedback as your more inclined to write a review if a service is terrible (hence why I'm on forums).
