Hello
ive set up a wordpress site for my son and on the google crawl report it states that the text is too small on smartphones.
Ive looked on wordpress help and the theme Im using (Dupermag) doesnt have the 'font' option on the customise tab.
A few other sites ive looked at recommend messing about with CSS... I am going NOWHERE near anything like that!

Any suggestions?

I thought Wordpress has set text sizes across the board. So Paragraph, H1, H2, H3 etc..

Adding CSS isn't that difficult

Dashboard > theme > customize > Additional CSS

and then bung the font size you want in there
1
2
3
p {
font-size:16px;
}

Thanks, Ive increased the text size using the H4 size = Ill reqyest indexing again. Looks okay on mobile - it looked ok as it was tbh , didnt seem to small to me. Using H4 has just made it bolder.

You don't want to be writing entire blog posts in H4. H1,H2,H3 and H4 are meant for headings of sections, that's all. You want to be using Paragraph for you regular writing

Is paragraph edited from the css section? Tbh, with it not being blog, just a basic website with four small sections, there isnt much text on each post so unless theres any reason such as google wont crawl it with H4 size, I could leave as is.
Its a DJ site for my son who has recently been shit on from a great height by a new employer so for now just needs a site to put on his business cards and fb page

When you write in Wordpress naturally it should have Paragraph selected, is that not happening?

Ah now I see what you mean. Im using the classic editor so havent seen that. So I deactivated it and the went to the blocks section on one of the posts but it said 'no blocks selected'. Tried highlighting it but still saying no blocks selected.
So how do i select them?

Just literally start typing in a paragraph block and you should be good to go!

Cheers Jon!
No worries

I HATED the change to blocks in Wordpress at first but now I'm totally fine with it and don't regret moving from the Classic Editor at all ;)
