I'm still waiting to hear back from mine. I will of course let you know one way or the other. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I hope I get millions too :D:D:D

I have no idea how many premium bonds I have. I only know that I have them.
I wonder about the statistics involved.
X amount of premium bonds over Y amount of time = how much in theory??

I really hope I have something. Just a bit would be nice.

@katykicker said to me today that £20,000 is the magic figure to win 'quite a bit'

I bow to the wise and all knowing Katykicker. £20K is quite a bit.
I am keeping my fingers crossed and everything else that can be crossed :p

when I had a decent amount of PB, I used to win £25 pretty much every other month. The money is now in shares and I probably get a bit more than that but it doesn't rely on luck!

I'd love to get into shares you know. How much did you invest (ball park figure) and how did you go around it? Did you use a middleman company for it all?

I am a lazy investor so I use cheap index funds covering uk, european and international shares, and only own the odd individual share. I use an investment platform to hold my portfolio but all trading is done by myself with no advice. I do my own research. I invest a regular amount each month, about £200. I am in it for the long term, and generally buy and hold rather than try to make a quick profit.

Yeah 20k-30k seems to be the sweet spot to basically win monthly. However, the second 6 month period I held them I made less money than the 1st 6 months period!

Gutted :(. Nothing, absolutely nothing. I have some premium bonds and they have done nothing for years and years:oops:. I was hoping for a little bit, say £100, but nothing :(.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained = nothing.

Oh well, at least I've got the snakes on my side. The little Vyprs have been very generous to me today.

How much do you hold?

Could you put more money in?

Do you think you would earn more withdrawing the money and putting it elsewhere going forward?

Hi Jon,

Those are good questions.
I'm just going to leave things are they are. They don't really exist to me anyway. It was only being on this site that gave me a reason to track them down. What I will do is put them in my will and leave them to an animal charity so maybe in the future they will benefit some animals in need.

Just won £25 in the October draw. I don't have much in them but very happy now. I might treat myself to some more now to increase my chances of winning again next month :)
