Hi
I'm new to the site and think it's really good to find decent ways to make money and I plan to work through the toolkit. My question is about blogging. I feel very much a beginner in this blogging world. I just wondered how others have got on? Have you made an income? What worked/didn't work for you? Any advice? I really enjoy working on the blog and I love writing so I'm hoping to make a success out of it!
thanks

I make a few 4 figures a month from blogging. A mixture of sponsored posts + Affiliate links. Obviously, I'm 5 years down the line so am well established when it comes to knowing what backlinks from TMS etc are worth and I also know my audience know to know which affiliate links are worth bothering with and which aren't.

It's not easy and at times it can feel a bit like selling your soul for money but I suppose that's no different than a regular 9-5 job lol

I should also say I effectively run 3 websites with a 4th to be launched this year.

I'm focusing on building my style on flow and publishing decent content at the moment. I'm very new with only ten posts and a week or so in, how did you find your profits way back at the start. Well done by the way thats amazing!!

I would slow down your posting a little bit otherwise you will hit burnout content-wise, trust me!

I think after 6-7 months I was taking payments of £40-£50 per sponsored post and maybe 18 months later I was taking £150+ for SPs

Blogging is SO MUCH MORE than just writing on your site. You need to spend even more time building up your social media presence and connecting with others while advertising your content in a non spammy way!

Oh, and guest post... LOTS .. It's the best way to build backlinks in the early days!

No worries. Just try not to compare yourself too much with others.. As they always say don't compare your beginning to someone elses middle!
