So in this guide, I'm going to share how to buy stuff from china, using chinese-only websites and get it shipped to the UK. I've been doing this for about half a year now and it's a good money earner.

Step 1: sign up on wegobuy here:
https://www.wegobuy.com/en/page/account/?partnercode=wmri5o (this website translates the sites and is also the warehouse and shipping company)

Step 2: head over to http://taobao.com/ or https://m.1688.com/ and search for an item. In this example, let's say we want these sunglasses.
They're 2¥ each. 1¥ = £0.12. let's say we want 100 of them. So £1.20.

Step 3: We paste the link of the item we want into the wegobuy search bar.. From there we can select the colour/style we want, the quantity and any order notes..

We can now purchase the item with PayPal, directly with our card, or load our wegobuy account.

From my experience, items take about a week to land at the warehouse. Then they send you pictures of the items. You can choose to return items that you don't like.
Step 4: we can now submit a shipping request, it will ask us options like extra padding, bland tag removal, declared item value and give us a few shipping options like FedEx, ems, DHL ECT. I use EMS because it's usually a month, and it's cheap. FedEx is about 7 days but very expensive.

I'll also note, I usually just buy shoes and clothes, but shipping across the world, it's all about the weight so sunglasses and maybes rookies too would be a better investment.

There's also branded items too, like some of the items I've bought in the past. Yes, there are some fakes but they're illiegal in china, too. You'll know it's fake though as it's a lot cheaper than the real items. Like in my screenshot. Those white shoes. (For anyone wondering, I was skint, but I wanted to buy shoes for my brothers)

Useful information @Kimilsung thanks for sharing.

I've found the quality to be variable from China. Sometimes the product is ok but its not been treated very well and arrives with scratches or scuffs. Sometimes its pretty decent. I've bought clothes before from Ali Express but always had trouble getting the right size. Their size guides never seem to be right for me.

Is there a minimum order?

Do Wegobuy add on VAT and import charges or do you have to pay those separately when the order lands in the UK?

Have you had anything that never arrived? Their Trust Pilot reviews seem to flag that as a potential issue.

No vat or import charges. U can declare the value but I just declare it as $21. For clothing, there's communities on reddit that focus around (mostly fake, but high quality) clothes from china on reddit. Usually, if your buying something popular on taobao, there would be reviews. As for the sizes, you gotta remember they serving their home market first so the sizes are gonna be asian sizes. (For me, the shirt length is fine, but the arms on a long sleeve shirt are slightly too short, on a size medium. Shoe sizes are accurate with UK and EU sizing though

Everything I've ordered has arrived, but there's been some people who have had their parcels get siezed. (Though they were shipping like 30KG hauls, I'm only buying a few tracksuits and a pair of shoes or 2 at a time)
