How to go self employed

Has anyone else done this? I don't earn very much, and am going back to uni in september, and will carry on working for 63336 whilst I'm there.

So what forms do I need and will going back to uni effect this, considering you don't pay taxes as a student?

Yup,

Always been self employed / sole trader since I have been earning from home (well you have to anyway!)

If I'm only working for 63336, how does this make me a sole trader? As I don't have a business?

whatever you do, don't have a 'head in the sand' approach to this, give them a call and speak to someone if you want some help

All the business names stuff is confusing I want to get it done this week, before friday preferably. I think I will try to get the forms downloaded and done- I'm sure if I do it wrong they will tell me

All my online earnings go through a business name but you can just call the business your fullname if you want it doesn't make any real difference

It will take longer than Friday for that bloody UID number to come which you need to login to everything on the self assessment website

I vaguely remember either being told or saw it when registering myself that you can opt for "Individual" which would possibly cover it better. Of course I could be wrong though.
