Hello I'm new to the forum!

Due to the Universal Credit mugging me over at the minute been looking at the best way to make a bit more money.
I've in the past have done Survey sites but these days it just seems daunting. i do the receipt apps though :)

Looking at the Matched betting , i can see the sites would want I.D. i don't have a passport or driving licence. The only form of Photo i.d i have is one i've had since my teens (i'm now in my 30's) which is a validate UK card and it says what dates when i become 16 and 18. would they accept this? They normally accept it in clubs and shops when its asked for.
or maybe if not sure maybe i could ask them before signing up? also there is my birth cert lol. also how long do they take to accept I.D?
Just want to check before i look into this matched betting a bit further.
Happy M-betting!

Hello Amy, welcome to the Money Shed.

My thinking is there must be other people who don't have a passport or driving licence so something must already be in place to validate them. I should think Birth certificate and a utility bill or bank statement addressed to you showing your full name and address would do it. Best thing to do is search on each bookmakers site for validate ID or verify account and it should tell you what they accept.

They won't all ask for it but the tricky thing is some will let you deposit money and then only ask you for ID when you try to withdraw. So it is best to be sure before you sign up. Once you've sent the docs they normally verify them within 48 hours.

Good luck.

Nope, Chammy has a provisional licence as she needed it for when she did that stupid thing her my life involving make-up. She didn't start Matched Betting until after that!

Like Homie said, check each bookie before signing up and there is also live chat to ask an actual person. Personally, I'd sort out a provisional licence as you'll soon make back that investment.

Provisional Driving License cost £50 and accepted everywhere as I.D and proof of address. (if i can recall you need some sort of identification to apply e.g. passport)
Have been using it on many UK sites where they do not like EU National I.D's.

Should get one of them sorted out to make your life easier online in the future :)

You don't have to have a passport, a birth certificate is fine but you need to send it with additional documents.

Having a passport just means it's easier as it's a government verified document. The licence is £34 if you do it online (£43 by post).

I've been there too, trying to find ways to make some extra cash. Survey sites can be overwhelming sometimes, but I'm glad you're still doing the receipt apps! As for matched betting, I think it's worth exploring. Your UK card might work as a form of ID, especially if it has your photo and birth date on it. It's always better to check with the sites beforehand, just to be sure. Birth certificates are sometimes accepted, but it really depends on the platform's policies. As for fake identifiers or fake id, you can try as one option. Sometimes there are sites that it is better to provide such documents rather than showing your real name.
