Thanks to my short attention span, Ive discarded countless blog attempts. But I think I am going to stick with new one which is about running a small business in Blackpool.
One thing I am struggling with is images on the featured image section of posts. Im just using generic images downloaded from google. They look okay on the mobile view but huge and distorted on laptop or pc screen. Ive installed Smush and tried to get the images to the recommended size but to no avail. I just don't understand image sizes!

I would use https://pixabay.com/en/ for all your generic images as you can choose resolution size!

Yeah I Can see what you mean by the images look pixelated..

Like I said, try using images off pixabay which are I'm hoping will appear correctly for you as your featured image.

Got it.

This is your problem. You are using a small image found online and it is being 'blown up' for the featured image.

If you are going to look for images online, use google and click images. You should then click 'tools' and set size to 'large' (at least) and really you should set 'Useage Rights' to 'labelled for reuse' however I'm just a guy on the internet, not the cops.
