Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Signing up is free and they only ask for your name and an email address. There's nothing to lose but if this payment system becomes a world leading payment method your Qs can be worth a lot. If you missed getting bitcoin seven years ago, you wouldn't want to miss this.

Here is my invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/rmpEL-thm

This link will stop working once I’m out of invites. Let me know after you registered, because I need to verify you on my end.

My thoughts: It may well come to nothing but all it "costs" to sign up is your name and e-mail address so it seems worth a try for some long term gain. Similar comments from Mr Lewis over on the green site.

One of the board guides on the green site has linked to a reddit thread warning about it & pointing out that it's not actually being run by "ex-paypal guys" Reddit: "
I'd be careful w/ this guys; I can find no way of verifying its authenticity.. The founder is Saar Wilf and is supposedly a co-founder of PayPal (no info online about that other than a few articles written just days ago). He has a twitter with only a few hundred followers. 500+ connections on LinkedIn but no mutual w/ me (and I'm super-connected in industry).
This could be a scheme to get people's commonly-used passwords.
So all that said, If you're going to sign up (if one of your friends sends you the MLM link) I'd use a unique one-time password. Potential Viral Trojan
Edit: When I say trojan I mean something nefarious pretending to be something neutral or good. In this case potentially a password phishing site disguised as a pre-sale pre-launch"

& a green site poster thinks
"At the moment its nothing but a blatant pyramid scheme to harvest personal details and being facilitated by the green site. A bit like the 5 postcards you used to send off as a kid hoping for thousands back in return when your name reached the top of the list. It's a list of those people who think they will get free money, so maybe potential mugs who will cough up something more later. Not quite the same as someone expecting a free email address. "

I think it's more the surprise that the green site is facilitating it all!

here's my thoughts, there is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme, and with this being a borderline ICO/ponzy scheme it is marketed as such a thing. Fine there is no upfront cost but you have just entered details for them to farm if needed.

It is also not from the paypal guys, its from a guy who had a company that paypal bought so its not a good to start something on a lie.

heres a good review of it and picks it to pieces

Initiative Q is a genuine attempt by Saar Wilf (ex-Paypal and payment entrepreneur) to create a new global online payment system to replace the current historic cash and card society we live in today. The system will use its own currency 'Q' and in order to attract members is offering free 'Q' currency which has been reserved specifically to attract new users (approx 3,500 Q when you sign up and slightly less when you invite a further member, this value also reduces as the more people join up, so the faster you join the more Q you receive). Today Q is currently worth 0 but through their economic model and timeline strategy, Initiative Q target their currency to be worth 1 USD post 2021.

All you need to do to join is sign up with your full name and an e-mail address on the link below (no cost, no additional detail and your data is protected).

Here is my invite link: https://initiativeq.com/invite/rIuJGq22X

Comment when you have done so, so I can verify you on my end as it is invitation only.

If you would like to know more, read up on the Forbes article below or go to the Initiative Q website where you can find everything you need to know:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/lelalondon/2018/11/01/is-initiative-q-the-new-bitcoin/#5b599cd2783f

Jump on Initiative Q today before the initial member recruitment campaign is complete and reserve Q currency has been fully distributed!

I've seen things like this before, where folks are whipped up into joining something - the frenzy of it - and then it goes pear-shaped - the site disappears - annoyance and frustration ensue... ... ... and then one day, another 'promising' site pops up and the dance repeats itself. (* by vague, I mean one's given enough info and excitement to join or want to join, enough to distract from the signs, the holes in the story, the alarm bells ringing, the bull.)

I'll be happy for folks who've joined if I'm wrong, but I'm going with my gut here and staying away from it.

I don't think you are wrong nothing will come of it, its like those links on facebook years ago about free money please signup etc etc, Its all lies :D ex paypal? give over :D

"Wilf - So the information we will need will be of two types. One is the information required by regulations in order to prevent money laundering. So we will need to identify customers. We need to have a better method of identification than e-mail, which is what we have used so far. Before you will able to use Qs, you will probably need to undergo some better identification. Another type of information is it you want to transfer Qs and exchanged it for other currencies. If you want to buy Qs with Rs or exchange it, we will need a bank account in some way to allow you to exchange with other currencies. These are the kind of information that could require in the future."

they haven't even planned what to do in the future if they hit the target number haha

This will be like that social network from a few months ago that showed up on the Friday, was popular on the Saturday, SUPER POPULAR on the Sunday with everyone claiming their account names and forgotten about by the Monday!!

Hi all,

I signed up to Initiative Q a couple of weeks ago and I truly believe it has the potential to be a big player in the payments market in the future.

Please see the link below to sign up and have a read of it. They want to be the world's best payment network, and currently through this referral link, they are offering new members 'Qs'.
If the payment network kicks off well, then these Qs will hold a dollar value.

New members get around 1000 Q's and the company hopes each Q will be worth a dollar. Easy $1000 if you are happy to wait for a bit.

Plus you can refer others to the scheme and get more Qs
Up to around $19k in referral bonuses I think.

Let me know your thoughts

I've moved this over to the referral section as I can see this is going the same way as Bulb / Octopus etc where people just want to dump their affiliate sign up code (which is fine!)

I guess I'm not the first to find out about initiative Q

Still though, if you could use my link that would be great
https://initiativeq.com/invite/BMOSdyy6Q
I'll be honest with you

You'll get zero interaction.

The Money Shed works on trust. So people around the site, get known, join in, and then people will be happy to use your links.

People who just sign up and their first post is a 'SIGN UP TO THIS!' type thing don't get anywhere I'm afraid as it just looks too spammy. Don't discount just how much you can make promoting your links on TMS as people have earned thousands of pounds but you need to actually engage with the community on here to get the results!

I've been invited to this by a friend and like you all, I'm very dubious. It sounds too good to be true, therefore it is!
I'm undecided if I should just delete all involvement now, but I thought I'd come to shed and have a look what trustworthy people are saying!
Here is the link, if it does work, I've probably bailed on the idea already
