is a 'risk free bet' same as 'refund if 1st bet loses'?

I'm starting to struggle to find 'easy' sign up offers think I've done most of them. I want to move onto the other types of sign up offers. I've been looking at one that is ' £25 bet refund if first bet loses'. Do i treat this the same as a risk free bet?

I've looked on OM and read the guides but I'm still bit lost.

Yes they are the same. You place a bet with your own money and if it loses, get your stake back.

Just double check the T&Cs to see how the money back is handled - Some will give you the full amount in cash, others will give it to you as a free bet or bonus.
