Is Personal Development important?

I passionately believe it is important, it is how we can grow and become better people. I have received top class personal development training and it has certainly helped me over the years, also a great believer in reading self help books, knowledge is King.

What classes have you done and how much did they cost?

It started I guess with Forever Living, we joined a few years ago promoting natural products, the company provide first class training and are very keen on personal development, some of the classes we went to were free others there was just a small payment, we also got to hear some amazing speakers. We have a lot of self help books. I have read some great books. Also had a one on one personal development session with a mate who is very much into helping others. He made me realise what I crave the most 'Freedom'.

For me personal Development is the most important thing we do, Weather you want to improve business, Relationship's finances you have to go to work on you first, Its something i always teach my team members and the people that contact me on my site too.
For the world to grow you have to grow first.

I like personal development in the sense of being the best version of myself that I can be, but I'm not keen on self-help books and the like. I tried all that when I was about 16, but it never went anywhere for me.

I look at like life a game to keep leveling up and improving in so personal development IS life.

Yes it is important and I often think the best thing, a person can get out of it is to realise that being the best you is the goal, not comparing yourself with others or being better than others. This has the added bonus of being less judgemental I hope!

Wow that was some grave digging. This thread is over 7 years old!

Its not something i've given much thought to. I certainly dont worry whether I am 'self developing' or not. Most of the time learning new things happens organically, often to solve a problem or out of interest in a new subject. Its not something I force upon myself or plan in any way.
