Is the “post Christmas” time the hardest time for eBay resellers?

I would think everyone and their dog will be putting up their unwanted gifts onto eBay over the next few days.

Does this make it a harder time for resellers at all as you obviously have a fair bit more competition than you normally would or does it not create any issues in your selling niche?

When I used to sell books I would look for January stock. Books on reducing alcohol consumption always sold well. I would often get an order for "how to cope with divorce" or "how to manage toddler tantrums2 or similar on Christmas day which was sad.

It can be slower, but I find the post Christmas period a good time for buying.

tbh I actually find December good for buying if you can stomach it!

People have to put their money into presents and other xmas prep so things like second hand job lots of things don't always get as much interest as usual...
