Trading212 is good. Its the only one I know that offers a totally free stocks and shares ISA. Even "freetrade" have charges for their ISA.

You can also get a free share if you sign up through a referral link:
www.trading212.com/invite/Ed4F and we both get a free share!

I wrote a little bit about it here. https://www.themoneyshed.co.uk/index.php?threads/trading-212-free-stock-worth-up-to-£100-deposit-minimum-£1-24-hours-cashout.10638/#post-149214

i can buy oil shares or crops etc?

I've used a few in the past and many are much the same, with small variations interface and in fees/spread. The two below stand out for me as on top of the usual buy/sell they have decent user interfaces and have the added bonus of being able to get free shares to compound your earnings:

Freetrade www.freetrade.io
Trading212 www.trading212.com

If you want free shares, you can use my Trading212 link: www.trading212.com/invite/FMElG7xX
Alternatively, for Freetrade: https://freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=0UD3QYDY6S&sender=H6xtKd6q

For both, just create an account (on Trading212 be sure to open the "Invest" account, and deposit £1 or more.

Cheers and all the best,
J

I use Trade212 on both the PC and the app and it's never put a foot wrong. They've got a platform for CFD's, ISA's and shares. Use a referral code and you'll get up to £100 free shares (I got something like £9 worth of Ford shares) and so will the referrer.

FYI, unless it's changed in the last few months, freetrade.io, only works on iphone's and not Android.

Nice going! I haven't made anywhere near £2k but since I received the free Ford shares, I've now more than doubled my money since buying some part shares in Tesla

Trading212 is nicely low cost and lets you buy fractions of shares - which does up the choice of shares for a small portfolio. But it is much easier and intuitive to use on a mobile than on the laptop.

I prefer the new beta web app to the mobile version, but I think it just depends on what you get used to.

I do use a combination of T212, Freetrade and IG though.

Exactly. They're all a much of a muchness. I stick with T212 because I've got used to it. They did also give me another free share, which was about the same value as my first (£9ish, I think), which was nice :D

Trading212 have also increased the number of shares, ITs and international shares quite recently too - so even more choice of stocks to play with.

I have always done really well on Investing, but I think the main thing is to start slowly and learn from your mistakes. You do get better at things and it is often timing the right points to enter things, and noticing certain patterns. The market certainly does allow some really good buying positions if you have patience too.

Thinking it will go up, and it goes down. Thinking it will go down and it goes up. Holding onto things that I think will rebound.

I use HL and Freetrade.

Its useful to sign up to all the 0% commission sites and test what works for you. Trading 212 is oversubscribed and thats what drove me to FreeTrade

FreeTrade referral:
https://magic.freetrade.io/join/james/750f9e55
Join FreeTrade with a free General Investment Account and get a Free Share worth up to £200.
The free share is awarded 7-10 days after you deposit money in to the account (minimum is £5 deposit).
You can withdraw that deposit immediately and sell off your free share (which can also be withdrawn from the account after 30 days)

You can use T212 to buy index stocks. Buying those small and often should pound cost average you into the market and let you get a feel of things rather than diving into single stock tradings and getting scared out of the market.

I personally use and prefer trading212 but free-trade is still a decent option.
