I have also been blocked. Quite rightly though as I found this deep down in their terms:
Your referral code can only be shared directly with a friend or colleague, whether orally, by email or by other electronic messaging service. Your referral code must not be published on websites or via social sites. Shared codes will disqualify voucher codes.
It is very unusual for a referral program not to allow social media distribution - that's how most gain a good following and particularly unusual for an app which is pushing social media (e.g. video locations part of the app) and technology. I'm puzzled as to why they wouldn't allow this and it's a bit annoying that they don't explain why but that's their prerogative.
I tend not to be a person who takes the money and runs; I like to find out a bit about an app before agreeing to sign up (e.g. I'm still an active member of Trading 212 and only joined due to the referral program that I found through this website). I'm quite sure they would have made more from me than the 50p I gained from a referral code on my shop offer click-throughs.
It is a shame as I was starting to get into the app. I found bits annoying and difficult to use so, normally, I'd give constructive feedback which I obviously won't be doing in this case since I am blocked. I wasn't really keen on their technology and was beginning to feel it was a bit dodgy for me anyway so maybe it's just as well. Word of warning to anyone else who wants to use their app would be to properly read the terms first (I usually skim read so more fool me)!
