The payments seem to be all over the place recently. I've had a few as low as 1 point which is around 0.7 pence! but I've also had ones like 234, 229 and the highest I've ever seen of 325 which is about £2.30
I can't see much logic to the payments at the moment and they certainly are not following their own guidelines in the FAQs so I've no idea what they are doing (and neither have they by the looks of it!)
Let us know if you get a reply, they never answered my last query.

I asked them but it was a waste of time, see the reply below.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Indeed.

Our algorithm uses several factors to determine the point value of a submission. We’re not able to discuss the specific factors that lead to the point value for any individual submission. We reserve the right to manage the points calculations at our discretion and we do not disclose the details of them.

We appreciate your feedback and we have forwarded it to the appropriate team for consideration. For your reference, here's a link to our Terms of Use.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Caslynn

I will still contact them the more people that do the better. Also I may not do the 3p ones.

Don't see how you can be selective as you don't know what each job is paying until after it's been submitted and approved

From a couple of discussions with them I gleaned this info:

1 - where you get low paying pt totals this is usually because another user has uploaded that same image within the last three weeks. I was in London a few weekends ago and every job advert I found paid between 5-36 pts.
2 - You can repeat the job photos every month. This is handy if you are in a location where you are the lone user. There can still be variance in the points for the same job - sometimes even in this scenario I can get lower points but this is often mitigated by the higher scoring ones (200+)
3 - recruitment agencies are mostly fair game. There is one in my home town they won't accept images for but the rest are fine. These usually pay as well as the takeaways and restaurants (best pts in my experience).

Ooh, that's interesting to know. I always thought that recruitment agencies wouldn't be paid.

I read if another person took the photo before you they couldn't pay you at all.

A work friend and I both use Job Spotter and tell each other if we find an advert and both of us have been paid for the same job advert so it doesn't seem to be the case that you do not get paid if somebody else has taken the photo.

I have received some high points, all in 1 shopping centre in my lunch hour which was nice :) - 229 for a toy store, 194 for a second hand childrens store and 203 for a coffee and muffin place plus a few others around the 30-50 mark. All stores that are one offs and no chains which is why they are paying more. If I go to the main shopping centre down the road, they are all around the 5 point mark.

I wasn't aware of recruitment agencies so thanks for that one :)

i hear what you say but why would they pay twice when they already have the advert?

I don’t think the pay is any lower recently. The lowest I’ve been offered recently is 68 points but most of them have been between 150-200 points. I’ve made about £16 on this app over the past few weeks because I’ve been out and about a lot. And even a few pence is better than nothing, especially when you consider that is takes less than a minute to submit each one!

I agree with you there.. I went to a 15 minute appointment on Friday in my lunch break and picked up 448 points from shops around where I went.. There appear to be a lot more at the moment with Christmas vacancies. I tried a recruitment agency as mentioned above and got 16 points for one sign when I was testing it to see if will go through so I shall pop back at some point to cover the rest of the signs! I will never know why they pay twice (asked above) but glad they do as it gives me more points if somebody has covered it before me :)

The app wont even open for me for the last two days.

I dont think its worth even 3p they should pay you a decent amount for what you do. You are getting the job ads for them it would cost them alot more to come and get them themselves.

I think their might be something wrong with your app as I have just tested mine and it is fine and the only time I get 5 points is when I am in a large shopping centres and taking pictures of shops with very large chains. It would not be 3p everytime, I get this rarely and as said above, I am easily getting over the 3p mark even with the recruitment agencies for what is effectively a 10 second job. I am happy with the amount that I am paid and glad the app exists.

I have made well over £500 on amazon vouchers thanks to this app over the last year.

I want to stress that this all from journeys that i would be doing anyway, so there is no added petrol expense to factor in etc.

The key shops to focus on (as an example):

Takeaways
Barbers
Nail Salons

Stay clear of well known chains, it is not worth your time. The whole idea of Jobspotter is to capture ads for businesses that would not necessarily advertise online, so this rules out the likes of Greggs, Dominos or whichever chains ads may be paying out 3p!
