This is my first post. I have read the forum the last month picking up tips and ideas. Some of them have worked very nicely. Others not so much but still worth a try.
The ones that work for me very well:
1. Prolific Academic - since my first study on 2/6/2018 I have accumulated £49.36. This is largely thanks to a bonus of £34.49 one academic kindly gave me. However I still have £12 worth of earnings yet to be approved - the company's FAO states there is a 21 day process so I still may have to wait another week or so. I like this site a lot because the studies are interesting and not intrusive - for example one study was on politic theory. The downside is in the last five days I have had no studies but I guess that is to be expected at this time of year.
2. CuriousCat - I have made £16.26 in about three weeks. This one is more frustrating because it feels like I get screened out of 90% of surveys. I did a calculation of all the surveys I took part in - success and failure - and the total earnings for what I participated for is £43.21. I've made 37% of what I potentially could have got which doesn't sound so bad in numerical terms, but given the constant redirection to the pawpoints screen out page, that irks me a bit but it is what it is. At least the threshold is very low, the surveys are frequent and payout instant.
The ones that didn't work at all
1. Opinion Outpost - this seemed pretty decent with the low threshold and regularity of surveys. I got to 500 points (£5) in about 24 hours. Then I tried to cash out. The next time I logged in my account was banned. I have no idea why. I read some reviews after and other people had the same experience.
2. Crowdology - again the low threshold was enticing but I rarely received any surveys to do so it was pointless. I had an account set up for a month where my earnings was £1.18. I can make that on curiouscat within 20 minutes.
So in one month I have made a total of £50.75 with another £12 pending from two platforms which is very nice bonus to my normal working salary. I wish I had found this out at the start of the year. I have no particular targets in mind but I will use this form of income to cover travel expenses and stuff like that.
