I discovered MB about 8/9 years ago (from the the green site forum) and for a few weeks I placed a couple of bets and they all worked out succesfully ;D ... but it took me a while to work things out manually, and I began to get confused cos I didn't have the time to work things out.

Anyway, I thought I'd give it another go, so here I am, but I still consider myself to be a newbie. Anyway, I have a question. I have stumbled across a Ladbrookes offer of an "upto £50 free" bet for a new accounts and I'm not sure of the rules for this type of offer.

If I place a £5 qualifying bet (and lay it on Betfair) ... does that mean I only get a free £5 deposited into my account (i.e. matched to my inital qualifying bet) ... and if I place a £50 qualifying bet then I would get a free £50 into my account?

Thanks in advance x

Hello,

yes that is correct. whatever you place on the qualifuing bet you will get the equal amount as a freebet upto the maximum allowed so in this case maximum is £50.

Thanks

Thanks for your prompt reply Carl3655 ...

... so if I placed a £50 qualifying bet at LB am I still looking for odds of about 1.5 for my first bet? Would anything lower look strange?

Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question :-[

Are you following instructions here from profit accumulator or something or an offer

Generally offers on sites like PA tell you exactly what you need to do!

Thanks for your reply Jon ... a bit of both I suppose.

I've watched the PA beginners video ... and it, and the illustrated example, use 1.5 odds.

But the £50 from Ladbrookes was something I stumbled across from a link in an email and I got the impression you had to sign up this weekend.

I would suggest asking on the PA forum regarding the ladbrokes sign up offer

You should get a near enough instant response from the guys ;)

Most bookies require you to place a bet at specific odds in order to qualify for a Free Bet with them.

They can vary.. For example, some bookies may require the qualifying bet to be odds of only 1.5, whereas others may require to be at Evens or greater.. It's always best to ready the terms and conditions of offers.
