Hi everyone,

I'm quickly realizing in order to step up my money-making game I need to purchase either a laptop or desktop to get the most out of working from home.
I have the new IPad Pro believing that the new version would mimic a laptop (NOT)!!

Also, any thoughts on Grammarly/Ginger writing tool, even though Grammarly often scream ambiguous alert when I start typing!! I do like their flow, just not the fee.

Sorry for the endless babbling.. Ugh
Laptop, desktop. Grammarly/Ginger?

Running back and forth to my local library is doing my head in!!
Thank you-

Yes get a laptop, it's not worth you missing out on earning opportunities just because you don't have one. Don't forget buying one would be classed as an expense so you can claim that money back at the end of the tax year. Same goes for your Grammarly subscription!

Use our Amazon Discount Finder Tool (to the side, or bottom depending on how you are seeing this page) and do some laptop searched and grab a bargain!

To be fair to me, I meant more about the blogging side rather than the ‘other‘ computer based earning things. Anything that requires you to download anything will usually only be available for actual computers.

But.
For writing/publishing/managing my blog, I could do it all via an iPad - and frequently do.

Hi @The Reverend,
I love my iPad, big time!!
Amazing how fast and so smooth they run.
However, I'm really struggling with the reality that to use an IPad with certain jobs I'm unable and quickly get booted.
I've discovered as of late getting accepted to jobs or some surveys that require a laptop or computer. Example: Prolific not all but some of their surveys require a computer I give a cheeky smile and click reserve only to find out I'm unable to finish. Then I worry myself that prolific will end my account...lol
Intellizoom: impossible unless stated.
Neevo sent me a brilliant job the another day which required a computer once I clicked to begin I was told the dreaded No.
Testing Time
Respondent and a few more.

For the most part I think the Pro is amazing Tablet and will hold its own to any laptop. UNLESS.... Being a laptop...lol
I have read Several articles that the Pro can emulate a laptop if someone knows how this is done please, please spill the information ha ha!!

I thought adding a keyboard and mouse would do the trick and quickly found out I was wrong.
So, It's looking like I'm buying a laptop this week. Yea, a month of beans...:

Do you and Jon have already own an Ipad?
Jenifer ☺️

Unless you plan on gaming, doing lot's of media editing and encoding or other cpu or gpu intensive tasks; stick with a laptop. Screen not large enough? Buy a monitor and connect the laptop to it. No wireless connection? Tether your mobiles data plan over the air or direct via usb (check your mobile network plan for data costs).

Sound advice here.

MacbookPro + HD Monitor (around £180 from Amazon) + Apple Magic Keyboard and Mouse has been a total gamechanger for me.

I have a large screen for working from home and a laptop I can take anywhere and work!

Ok, jobs done and bought! After, going back and forth a million times and doing too many wasted hours in researching until my eyes were burning.
Decision:
APPLE MACBOOK A1342 UNI-BODY CORE 2 DUO 2.26GHZ-2.4GHZ 4GB 1TB SMART DVD SIERRA OS
Apple Magic Trackpad2 -Space Grey -
I have a wireless mouse if needed. But I have always struggled using a mouse it must come with being cack-handed!

The foot is tapping to get started.

What I've read on different forums it's a total game-changer. It's like one big mouse pad super comfortable.
I recently had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery performed on both wrist. So anything that helps and keeps my posture upright is a win-win.
I guess time will tell if the purchase was a flop. Lol

Not that CTS has anything to do with posture... Just thought I best throw that out there. Neevo job popped up and I went running... Lol
