Signed up to Leapforce a few weeks ago but have only just got back to it. Just noticed they ask for a link to my Facetwit account (the most boring Facetwit account in existance) and also an instagram link. Havent got Instagram - why would they want these? My FB is literally a few pics of the pub I used to work at and a couple of pics of my dog. I dont mind signing up as long as theyre not going to plague all my friends and followers (Ive asked all ten of them, no one is interested).

Instagram is owned by facebook

The work is social media based so that’s why they want to know if you have any existing accounts

They won't plague your friends. They have social media evaluator jobs and an active Instagram and Facebook account is required

No not yet - Ive opened an Instagram account and Ill load a bit of content on it tomorrow then continue with it on Monday. What actually is the work? Ive subscribed to What Users Do got accepted but only had one job come through - by the time I got home they had enough applicants.

progress so far -npened an instagram account, submitted details of insta and facebook accounts and also verified my smartphone. Now I THINK im waiting for that info to be verified by Leapforce before I get invited to conplete first job 'Truckee' - either way, whatever that is, I'm waiting to hear from them.

Truckee is pretty straightforward and good money but restricted hours and hopefully you will get invited to Yukon at some stage which has more work.

I have just been accepted onto Leapforce and the Truckee job is available. It suggests I need to spend at least one hour per day on it for 5 days each week. It’s not very specific though - does the hour have to be done at once or can it be split down into smaller chunks? And how long does the job take in total - is it just for one week or does it continue indefinitely?

Hoping someone can advise me! I don’t want to accept it but then not be able to fulfil the requirements!

Thanks,

Laura

From my experience with leapforce you can dip in and out as long as your total task time for the day adds up to 1 hour :)

It's indefinitely although I think people often get kicked off after a year. They're not too keen on people taking holidays from it, ie need to do at least 5 days a week (can do all 7 if want) for foreseeable.

They also say the one hour should be done in one chunk....but I've been doing it since Christmas and have been dipping every day and have been being paid

Be warned that I think from having read other people's experiences applying for it recently they may well let you apply then keep you on a waiting list until others are removed from the project...so dont get hopes up too much just in case but defingely worth applying for. Any other ways give me a shout. Good luck!

No I don’t think so. I’m on truckee and it’s often done in 45 mins but they state you bill 3mins per ad so if I get a batch of 18 then 54 mins, but you can’t bill for the bake-off.

Hello, I've been reading through the threads on this but still not sure what will happen. I applied to Leapforce on the 10th July, was asked to sign the docs on the 11th and received the invitation to complete my first project on the 12th.

The only one there is TRUCKEE. Trouble is, I don't have (or want) a Facebook/Instagram account (although I do have Twitter/LinkedIn and a smartphone - I'm only 80% Luddite).

So, is that it then? Is Facebook/Instagram an absolute requirement? I emailed them today to ask if I should wait for other projects but looking at everyone else's comments, I'm not hopeful of a rapid reply, even though my initial application only took 3 days. Does anyone do Leapforce work without Facebook etc. or shall I just withdraw the application do you think?

Thank you

Is there a reason why you don't want a facebook or Instagram account?

I would say this as I would look at having those two accounts as being 'work tools' but that's all. If you want the work then you need to use those sites..

Glad you posted this, I stuck an application in with Appen at the end of June and still haven't heard a thing so wonder if the same applies to them as well.

I think it's because I've never felt the need to bore on about my life to strangers. Maybe I'll pass on Leapforce...thanks for the info - at least I know it'd be pointless pursuing it.

Just hacking my way through the UTest training at the moment, which I'm quite enjoying
