Hi,

Sorry I haven't been around much for a while. I'm still working doing Freelance Merchandising/Mystery Shopping as my main job. I have tried and tested so many side hustles over the years, including:

Matched Betting and casino offers (have been gubbed from most accounts a long time ago).

Crisp Thinking (did it for a while, gave it up about three years ago cause I was doing another course and I've heard its got worse.

Surveys. TBH the only good site I've ever found is Prolific, which I still do

Inboxpounds/Swagbucks - have had lots of problems with claiming rewards for offers recently when I've done everything by the book.

Freelance Writing - I did a copy writing course in 2021 and I did some freelance work last year, but really didn't enjoy it

Data Annotation - I applied for one thing last year, but didn't pass. I'm wondering if there are now some others.

Voice Over- I've done some training and I've part of a Voice Over school. I also have a home studio set up, which I've spent about £200 on (its far from perfect its my wardrobe).Again I started this pre lockdown and have come back to it a couple of times, but decided to give it a go. I'm starting to wonder if I'm being unrealistic or whether I should persevere. May put a time limit on it. I've tried to get work through Fiverr (long story dont even go there), Upwork (had some very low paid jobs and I'm with a couple of other casting sites. Dont want to pay for membership at the moment cause it feels too risky and there isnt the option to pay monthly.

There have been a couple of gaps over the last couple of years due to bereavement and illness, so I know it looks a bit as if I have no staying power. I also still want to stay freelance for a number of reasons and was just wondering if anyone had any options/ideas that I haven't thought of.

Sorry for brain dump. Thanks

Sadly there doesn't seem to be anything new out there beyond Data Annotation. I am just plugging away with crisp and prolific.

No need to apologize, we're all navigating our own paths. Your journey through different side hustles is relatable – it's all about finding what clicks. Speaking of which, have you ever explored skin.land? It's not just about gaming; it's about the community. I remember when I stumbled upon it while exploring CS2 skins. It felt like finding a group of friends who shared my passion. Plus, did you know you can resell and invest in CS2 skins? It might be a new angle to consider for your freelancing.

How are you getting on with your voice over stuff @OCTOPUS ?

I searched up on it a few weeks ago because I have a mic and have studied a bit of music production so know a little about editing etc but as I was trying to sign up, I got put off by the pay monthly to get your name out there subscription...

This could be worth looking at. Maybe. Not a recommendation, just putting it out there.

AI Voice Cloning: https://elevenlabs.io/payouts
Thanks for that Homie, will look into it, I 've only just seen it cause I dont come on here very often. @jungkook I'm still trying to get into Voiceover. I paid for a subscription on Voices for a year, I've had four shortlistings so far in four months, but no jobs yet, the jobs are well paid though so hopefully soon. I'm also a member of a voiceover community, the guy who runs it (Jessie Carroll) also has loads of really good videos on youtube.

Cloud research is improving for me btw. Load more studies this month, think the trick is you need to work your rating up (which is hard if you don't have any!) but cloud notification thing made it a bit easier.

Thanks I've just signed up, it looks good. I wasn't expecting such a detailed survey on sport for the initial test, it was interesting though. Does it take long to get approved? It's great to have something alongside Prolific to do, the only other one I do is Populus.

Looks interesting. I have signed up but yet to be approved. Do you know how long it normally takes? It’s been a couple of days so far.

Yeah takes about a week I remember. They are a bit stricter than Prolific with regards to identification verification.

@mrcbo @Blackpepper1

Please could I ask what the identification process entails? Is it just simply submitting ID. I'm just trying to be a bit more cautious with my info as i've done many sites before and received no surveys/jobs but they've got my data/id

I haven’t had to upload anything so far so unless you have to once you are approved I am not sure. Maybe @mrcbo knows as is already an approved member of Cloud Research and earning from it.

Just got rejected from the Cloudresearch site after a couple of days. I scored 8 on the test, they must be wanting a better score. I thought I did well too as I knew a lot about the subject they asked about. Oh well, a bit disappointed.
