whilst working with a new employee, we got to talk about money, and she has just moved into a flat opposite tesco, so i said i suppose your clubcard will be of good to use to you then, she looked at me as if i had spoken in chinese, and asked me what a clubcard was..with mouth wide, i picked up my purse and threw out all the loyalty cards including the clubcard, she wrote down all the ones i have, and fair play to her she has gone and got all of them.. i dont know how other people feel about loyalty cards but i think if you are in the shop anyway why not have whats going, i mean i wouldn't shop in boots just for the sake of my card, but if i happen to be there then why not.
also i had a similar conversation with my niece she has just moved in with her boyfriend and money is of a premium, she found herself shopping in morrisons most days as its close to home, again i asked her has she got a match n more card, the answer was no, but since our last conversation she did pick one up and has started to reap the rewards.
so i was wondering how many people don't actually have loyalty cards and are there any out there i don't know about...

I've got so many that its embarrassing! 'Do you have a loyalty card?' and I pull of dozens of the things!
Nectar, Matalan, Tesco, Holland and Barrett, Iceland, Bite, Co-op, Morrisons, Waitrose, local hairdresser, Argos premier card, Bonmarche, World points, W H Smiths, Club Nokia, Boots, Toys R Us, Heathrow rewards, Homebase, American Airlines, Waterstones, Avios.

I'm sure a few of the schemes no longer exist.

But in my defence, I have most of them purely because you need a membership number to enter that company's comps ;)

*edit* Forgot Staples and Game because daughter 'borrowed' them to use the points!

The biggest issue I have with loyalty cards is that there are too many of them. I walk into a lot of shops now and they ask if I have a loyalty card and I have to say yes... but not on me. I carry around the ones I use regularly (nectar, match & more) but any others get left at home because if I carried them all around I'd break my wallet.
