I thought I'd start a matched betting diary seeing as up to 4 days ago I had never even placed a bet in my entire life!

With help from [member=1]Jon[/member] and some pointers from some other members, I went for the free trial with Profit Accumulator. At first I developed that glazed over expression I seem to get when too many numbers are involved, however after kicking myself up the rear end not to give up, I actually managed to understand it. I think if you WANT something enough, you will make it happen. So I have and I did!
My first two offers from PA are now done and I am +£31.73 from those. It would have been more, but I did not have the funds to deposit into Betfair for liabilities so I could place better odds. I have made the decision to get the Platinum Membership (£22.75 per month, no contract and can cancel at any time), for a month to see how it works. I'm impressed enough to want to carry it on - there are plenty of inspiring MB stories on here, why can't I be one of them?! Seriously, if I end up making a decent amount from Matched Betting, anyone can!! :D

I'm also doing some ClixSense bits - I tried to apply to Prolific Academic, but you need a CV which I don't have after working for myself for so long. I'm on some mystery shopper sites and did a £20 one at the beginning of the month.

I am giving myself a target of £150 by 30/05/16 through Matched Betting alone. Everything else is a bonus, but small change mostly with surveys etc. We have a holiday at the beginning of July to Cornwall with the kids and I am seriously thinking we may need to cancel as we are just so broke. If I can salvage that then that would be amazing 8)

23/05/16 - £31.73/£150

I don't think you realise just HOW MUCH you are going to make with Matched Betting!!

How much do you need to have made by your July holiday?

Well we need to pay nearly £500 in about 10 days, so that ain't going to happen! So as much as possible. But I'm trying to be realistic.

My main issue is the money for the liabilities. It's playing the long game with it, waiting for bets to come in and not cleaning my bank out to carry on regardless... I have no 'proper' work on just now so I have the time to put into all of this.

You definitely don't need a c v for Prolific Academic! Check that you re applying as a participant and not as an academic conducting a study. It's just surveys, albeit far more interesting than the usual shopping surveys.

It's made me about £20 a week over the last month, and you never get screened out, so it's a really good boost.

So sorry, [member=3699]Mountainways[/member], it's not Prolific Academic, I am thinking of another - one of the ones [member=1]Jon[/member] mentioned was lucrative. Will go back and check that out, but whichever one it was I couldn't submit an application without a CV.

It will be Leapfroce or one of the other WSE companies

Best of luck to you!
Have a look at the companies in my signature if you've time for surveys and the like too. PA and MintVine are quite quick paying. X

Good luck! I think I'm in a similar position to you as I just don't have the liability money for Betfair and I can't tie up what little I do have in betting accounts.
