@mabozza Uber keeps rejecting my document for Certificate of Motor Insurance, do you know anything about that please mate?
Had and still get same... you need to set up a Zego account for Uber Eats which will generate a certificate of enrolment just like you have for Just Eat and upload that document... when you go in your zego would look like this...

One thing of note with Zego being a rolling contract every month both UE and JE will email you saying you need update the certificate..so you just send the new certificate each month

I’ve done that mate, it did have a green tick by it at one point yesterday but low it’s an orange exclamation mark, I don’t know if that’s normal just because it expires soon?

Ah ok but now it's changed to saying "Account needs action please contact support" so I've sent them a message. JustEat gave me the £10 fee too so my balance for yesterday is £25.20. I've had a couple of notifications today saying they need drivers but I'm going at 6:30 anyway so I've just ignored it.

This just isn’t what I was expecting. Perhaps it will be better if I can do Just Eat and Uber at the same time. But I’ve only had 2 orders in 2 hours, thought it would be better on a Friday night. £4.60 each. Just sitting here watching the world go by.

TBH I find mainly that fridays/saturdays can be very quiet as folk like to eat out at weekends.. i did a bit of a marathon yesterday as McDs just went live here on JE from yesterday so started at 8am till 11 then got an extension till 2, then had 3:15 till 7:15 then 7:15 till 11:15 and got another extension till 1am and then did some UE McDs till 2am... it was not the busiest day but between both i managed £260.. having weekend off... you really do need both or even more with Deliveroo and Stuart if available to make it good.. magic of UE being you can work anytime anywhere... busiest times i find are the McDonalds breakfast rush between 7 and 11 and the lunch slot from maybe 12 till 3 (loads of KFC/BK/Subway orders) early evening from 5-7 midweek (although the govt eat out scheme mon-weds is not helpful) just need try different shifts at different times to get a feel for how your area works.. Try not to remain stationary on JE they send orders out more to drivers moving (a pain i know burning fuel)

Hi, @rich110991 - only just seem this thread. Bummer about the money (I get depressed if my bet lays go unmatched when I try to be clever with waiting, and that is only for £5-£10, so I feel your pain!).

Thanks to the brilliant TMS Family on here, and especially @mabozza I see you are getting your ar*e back into gear, which is great :)

Hopefully the 'screw-up' will be firmly etched in your brain to act as a permanent reminder if you are tempted to 'stray' again.

Have you thought about getting a Wall Planner/Calendar and marking off daily/weekly/monthly totals of how much you have made - nothing like having a visual positive reminder to keep you spurred on.

Perhaps you could give yourself a little 'reward' when you reach certain targets, too

Take care - you are doing brilliantly

Thanks mate. To be honest I had more setbacks after this post. My savings account was linked to my bank account and it was just to easy to transfer the money across. I’ve opened up an ISA now with a different bank which I can’t access as easily. The only way for me to get the money out would be to physically go to the bank. So I did that last week and I’ve got nearly £200 in there now so I’m optimistic about that. It’s a lot safer in there.

At least you are getting back up after the setbacks, acknowledging your short-comings and doing something positive to make it harder for them to happen.

I think you said earlier that you can't confide with family etc. - is there any way you could set up a 'support friend', someone neutral perhaps, who you could go to or talk to at any time?

People on here have also offered their 'virtual' ear if needed. Don't feel alone in this, reach out to someone if you get tempted to stray - it is very hard to stay strong 100% of the time.

Take care, mate

Is this good news? Could you become perm with them?

Basically no... its likely not a good thing...on the various forums the couriers have all condemned the idea...IMO it wont happen, because that type of business model simply cant work in food delivery in the UK.. no one is going to happily give up flexibility and freedom and use their own vehicle and pay for the upkeep of it ..so..only viable option is for JE to buy/lease a few hundred thousand vehicles pay for the fuel, road tax, mot, upkeep, repairs.recovery etc... Other side of the coin is (and most likely and viable option) they will drop around 80% of current workforce and employ the remaining 20% those guy will be on a minimum wage hourly rate and their workload will multiply hugely... which will in turn lead to a very high turnover of staff, reduced quality of service, which means more complaints, less customers less money. An example ..last week my earning over both apps was £1100 doing hours that i wanted to do ... i took weekend off and went away overnight...if the plan went ahead.. i would earn about £250-300 would be on shift say 10-12 hrs a day on days i am told to work and those hours would be rammed with orders non stop ..delays waiting on food to be ready/road issues would push the delivery times up...customer waits 90 mins for cold food.. PLUS many couriers do more than one app at a time (do a Just eat one then an Uber one whilst waiting on next Just Eat) maximising earning opportunities which would be stopped.. basically if this goes ahead Just Eat will be giving Uber Eats Deliveroo etc a massive boost as customers/couriers and more importantly pissed off restaurant owners move away from JE

Not sure mate. I’ve started with Uber today too.
Nice one Rich..i have seen your posts on the facebook pages..hope it all picks up for you.. Uber although less money you can get a lot lot more orders than on a JE shift plus can do it anytime anywhere.. tip: look out for decent promotions areas and head to those zones.. I have a 1.7 zone quite near me which has only a MacDonalds in it, i go there sit in their car park (along with half dozen other couriers) and pick up the orders...most are max 2 miles but with the 1.7 you make quite a bit more (plus Uber app allows customer to give tips...i get a tip about 50% of all UE orders... i never do the photo it at door thing..i always knock door hand it over with a smile and "enjoy" and that seems to get tips)

£1100 in a week working monday to friday delivering takeaway food?

That's over twice the starting salary of a teacher or a policeman. Something's gone wrong somewhere.

@rich110991 have you looked into a delivery app called Stuart? I've seen their drivers around a lot but they do other stuff besides food. I ordered an item from Suoerdrug to be collected in store but there was an option to have it delivered from store in town to my house via Stuart
