I've given myself a shake, and decided to start a new diary.
Unsubscribed from Platinum plus on PA; I haven't got the kitty yet for accumulators, and it was draining my funds. I can reconsider at a later date.
I have been off work this week, so have scooped up 5 Burgerking spots on Streetspottr, so if all of them are accepted that will be about £50. I enjoyed driving somewhere new, and I think I have learned a bit about how to take the photos discretely. I felt really obvious at first, but think I have improved a bit.
I have decided to apply for a Natwest account as the ffrees one is not great, you get charged a small amount for each transaction, and not every betting site accepts it. I can apply online and just take my ID in to be checked.
I had forgotten about Streetspottr, but got an email which reminded me to check.
I'm hoping to get a grip this month.
I am going to look at greyhound bets next.

Hey [member=4180]Hollyhock64[/member]

What's made you decide to kick yourself a shakeup do you think?

Had you just got yourself into a bit of a funk as [member=277]Chammy[/member] always calls it ? ;)

Being in a funk is terrible and don't worry, we all experience them. They tend to happen in the winter when it's cold and miserable - you just want to keep warm, scoff your face and watch Netflix. Then again around summer because you want to be out and about, not sat at a screen.

Don't burn yourself out and take good breaks - you'll be back on it in no time <3

You could call it a funk. I think when I read about folk doing really well with MBing and then compared my achievements I started thinking it isn't for me. I have decided to stick with no risk things as I was doing the get this if... and if wasn't happening so it was reducing my kitty. I can't see how I could make thousands in a couple of months due to it understanding offers, not having the kitty and not having the time. I have decided there is no point comparing myself to other people and to plug on. I'm feeling more positive and will add my Streetspotr cash to my kitty. I have also started saving for Christmas this year,£12.50 a week. I will think about a target but don't know how much would be realistically achievable for me. It is often my failings with technology which hold me back.
Sorry for the lengthy epistle!

Hi [member=4180]Hollyhock64[/member] ... Without sounding big headed I'm one of the bigger earners here. I put in LOTS of time though so it's all comparable,... What I would say is that this comparison syndrome affects EVERYONE! I know bloggers making a lot more money than me and I'm like meh :( Then I think about what the money I make does for myself and my family.

Think about the money YOU make and what YOU do. Try not to worry about what others are doing. Every single penny you make and save is an achievement. It is hard not to compare yourself to others, as that is normal really, but try and avoid it if you can. £12.50 a week for Christmas is going to give you an amazing December!

Whether you make £50 a month or £5000 that is still money in your pocket you wouldn't have had without your hard work!

I seem to be doing a bit better lately.
I have made approx £60 from Streetspotr, started to make a bit more MB ing, and have successfully applied for a Natwest account. I'm going to transfer my money from ffrees and close it, as it is no use really. They charge you for transactions and various bookies don't accept it. The online application with Natwest was really easy, I had it in my mind they would turn me down so had avoided doing it.
I think I will set myself a total once I have got my new debit card through, but something easily achievable like £100. Actually, if someone had told me I could earn an extra £100 a month a year ago, I would have been really chuffed. Thank you The Money Shed, I have learned so much!

Well, I have totaled up all of my accounts, bookies, exchanges and bank account today. The total is £731.43. That is since about last September. I'm quite pleased and started with £100. I made the mistake of leaving money in my PayPal account for a while, and it was trickling away on Netflix subs, son's purchases on Steam, etc. So it would be more. I also had a silly ffrees account (must close it), where you get charged for every transaction. Never mind, I now have a proper bank account with Natwest.
So, thanks, TMS. I have never had savings before. I would like to pick up the pace and now I have more money in my kitty, so should be able to be bolder,

I've just done 2 in-play bets on Tottenham v Bournemouth. I am so exhausted I need to go and have a lie-down.

Not a good day today. I have really messed up a William hill 4 means more bet. I backed a draw match result and both teams to score, but only laid the draw. The match was 0-0 draw. I have lost over a hundred pounds. I'm really pissed off with myself.I thought I had checked thoroughly, but obviously didn't.
It takes a long time to make a hundred pounds, and I have lost it just like that. How stupid.

I should be back in the black today. It shook me up, losing a large amount so I am feeling really nervous when I place a bet, especially when its a big one. I am checking and checking and checking again.
Anyway, I'll keep plugging on.

My daughter, when small, spent around £470 on a bet when I let her hold my phone. Was awful! However, I came back and I'm still earning now.

Well done for carrying on!

Oh, terrible!!
I'm still a bit nervous about betting on my phone, and I have only done it whilst at home. I intend to try to do it away from home though, as it will mean I could do more in play offers. Thanks, as always, for your encouragement.

You're so welcome! These things take time to feel confident about but once you get into it you'll be faster and more profitable.

Yeah, like I said earlier @Hollyhock64 we've all made mistakes when starting out matched betting but the thing is it's not like you are unable to make that money back again ;)
