Hows things going @bobcat2010 designs wise ? sounded interesting

A bit poor really. Only about $2000 a month at the moment. (I know that's a lot but in comparison it's less than I was expecting!)

I still use a designer for most designs as I'm no good graphically. I still make some text ones though :D I probably have around 2000 designs that I own atm :)

@bobcat2010 - I've just created a new design this morning (it can get addictive once you get into a groove). I've got 5 or 6 other ideas so I am going to create them all and then load them in a few weeks. The main reason for that is I found that after I had loaded the first designs up and saw them on the T Shirts, mugs etc I wasn't as happy with one or two of the designs so for a week or so I was uploading them, tweaking some and deleting others. So I thought I'd let this first batch settle in my mind before adding any more.

I now have a few questions for you:
1) How long before you made your first sale?
2) Is there any advice you can give on completing the application to get onto Amazon? I see they want details on background and experience. What buzz words will they be looking for?
3) How long before applying did you get in?

1) Redbubble I think it was a few months. I didn't really take it seriously then one design randomly took off so I decided to dedicate a bit more time to it!
2) I would build a portfolio on redbubble and/or teepublic first (say at least 50 designs) and include links to your stores on the application. I would say something along the lines of you create unique art based on pop culture and passionate niches. You'd love your art to reach a bigger audience and with Amazon you feel you can be very successful in that matter.
3) When I joined there was no application back in 2015! At the moment apparently the turnaround time is quite quick and you find out an estimated wait time after you submit your application.

Cheers @bobcat2010 that sounds like great advice re Amazon. I need to get working to get that number of designs but I have got a few weeks coming up sat on a beach so I'll take my note pad and get creative.

I'm totally going to give this a try. Going to download GIMP over the weekend and give it a go. I've got quite a few ideas. And I guess once the designs are uploaded on to the site it becomes a passive income if they sell which is always a good thing!

@bobcat2010 - I forget to add, give us a link to your stuff on Amazon, Teepublic, etc so we can all do a bit of window shopping.

Unfortunately I've had a few bad experiences of sharing my designs on a public platform with people copying and undercutting me. I certainly don't mind sharing a few in a PM though

@bobcat2010 - I understand. I was just interested in what you had created. It would be nice to see a couple of your typical designs maybe one you have had a designer create.

In turn please let me know if there are areas of my designs that, from your experience, could be improved.

Sure thing I'll PM and have a proper look a little later :)

Hey, so I thought I would give this a go. I started reading the instructions on teepublic on the rules on your image and it got very confusing. I'm going to keep things simple to start with and just have a simple image and text all in one colour.

One thing I am finding confusing is that the background of the image is white as the actual text obviously doesn't cover the whole thing, but when I click on upload and look at it on a t-shirt, it looks like a big white box with my text on. Should I have changed a preference somewhere?
