Ive managed a simple quote on gimp, but the Amazon Merch is so confusing. It wont let me publish, so just trying to work out what i'm doing wrong and how i choose specific items and places to sell. I've given up for now.

Will look into productor chrome.
If you have created a png file with a transparent background and size 4500x5400 then that should work. Is it not uploading or is it not submitting? If it won't let you publish check that all of the other product types have been deselected. You can only publish one design a day in tier 10.

So I've got a load of 4500x5400 pixels transparent png designs (used for Redbubble).
Anyone know if I can upload this same size to Zazzle/Teechip/Society6, etc

That was happening to me too!! I searched for ages and finally came across a Youtube vid.

Check that you only tick one market place (uk, us, jp etc) and one item. I didn't realise they count each market place as a seperate "item" eg if you have one tshirt design but put it on 4 market places, they count as 4 items.
When you start out you can only publish 1 item a day.

congrats on being accepted!!

I've just been accepted onto merch.

Now I just need to decide what to make... I might start with a subject that does well with my Amazon kdp books.

I've not actually done any research or watched any YouTube videos.
Is there a way to see what's selling as I don't see bsr on the shirts.

Edit: did some research on amazon.com and found bsrs it was just UK where I didn't see any. Although the shirts had reviews so I know it sold some

The DS Amazon Quick view chrome extension gives you sales data on Amazon products.

For anyone on Reddit there are two subreddits that are good for Merch news.
R/AmazonMerch which is fairly good for new Merchers and
R/MerchPrintOnDemand which is more of an anti guru sub but has a great Discord group.

you may have to change the dimensions slightly for a couple of the sites. Amazon Merch use that dimension for t's and hoodies also

I finally got tiered up to tier 4000 on Merch but i am still a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to skip two tiers like some other people did.

glad they finally tiered you up, not so great that they didn't give you the same tier shift as others had.

Amazon are making some changes to their Merch platform. From now on instead of one product taking up one slot it will be one design takes one slot. So if you are tier 100 you can have 100 different designs on all products in all markets. They're upgrading everyone's account over the next few weeks but we'll have to wait and see how it affects things.

More changes from Amazon. They previously restricted access to their advertising platform and accounts that were created in the past few years weren’t eligible to run ads. They have now given ads access to most accounts that are at least tier 2000 including me. This means that the cost per click for popular keywords will be higher but for those people who are willing to learn how to run ads properly it could be a good opportunity to grow your account. It could also lead some people to waste money so I would recommend doing some research before jumping in and starting an ad campaign.

I think a lot of people go into this expecting quick results just like they do selling unique items on other platforms but the reality is that it takes time and a lot of dedication to gain the traction you need to start making the big bucks!

I've just applied for Amazon merch before reading this thread, so possibly done that the wrong way round lol
Let us know how you get on. I used to be in a facebook group which was super helpful but it seems to be closed now. Couple of things I recall from it were - phrases, slogans and text based stuff works well (yay, might try again with that in mind seeing as my five year old grandson has a better grasp of design than I do) and also check for trademarks as you would be surprised how many everyday sayings are trademarked

I'm still doing Merch. Things are a bit quiet sales wise in part due to the time of year and the looming recession but i am currently trying to focus on getting more designs up. I'm tier 4000 on Amazon Merch but i only have about 1400 designs up. I have enough sales to get tiered up but i still need to fill my slots. I haven't been feeling motivated. Merch can often feel like more hassle than it's worth.
