Had to let my poor wife down just now!, checked on Eyes On app to see a perfume mystery shop and purchase near home... Her eyes light up, i read thru the notes... Go in make an enquiry and buy a perfume minimum £20 and do standard mystery shop while there.. all good? Then i check the pay section.. deal is you go in, perform a mystery shop buy a perfume for £20 minimum, do your report then POST the receipt to them... for this they will pay £2.75 and reimburse TEN pounds!! so, basically they are asking you to pay to do a mystery shop!!
Sorry Mrs A... no new perfume for you!!!

yeah that's sadly how a lot of 'traditional' mystery shopping is these days where the fee + reimbursement doesn't cover the cost. That's why I stopped doing them because you just end up forking out your own money.

yeah i suppose you could look at it that you can get money off a meal by doing mystery shopping but you sort of have to be going to that place I think.

It's a shame as I used to get free lunches etc out of doing traditional mystery shopping but over time the reports got more involved and the fees got less!

...and then I found field agent

I've seen a few on Eyes:On like that....just not worth it UNLESS you are getting lunch/food/drink anyway. A couple have been in pubs wheree you have to order 2 main course and 2 drinks and you'll be reimbursed £10-£15. Where in London can you get two main course for that price let alone 2 Drinks!
