Marketing your business can be something of a dark art, things that work for some dont for others and sometimes all you need is a little push in the right direction that could make all the difference.

Are you already marking your business, blog, social etc...? What works well for you? What hasn't worked out?

That is really helpful thanks @dinokapi.
What do you recommend for someone starting with 0 followers? From experience I have found it easier to grow from a few hundred to a few thousand than it is to start from 0.
For example, since taking over the money shed, we needed to create a new twitter account so we only have 6 followers.

That's really helpful thanks! I really need to set some time aside to dedicate to TMS socials. Always seems to take up more time than I expect.

I've experimented with trying to automate social posts etc... In the past but I think there is no substitute for spending some time on it.

The goal of marketing is to get the potential customer's attention to your product. I would, for example, use the call method, which is to buy a couple of VoIP numbers from https://usechalkboard.com/ and hire people to call people and offer my company's products, thereby getting potential loyal customers. Social media is also effective, considering that everyone is on the Internet these days. It's much easier, you buy advertising from a blogger with a large active audience, and that's it.

Social media sucks for me. No engagement, and even the paid adverts, a lot of likes and shares, but none of em converted into sales

Yeah. Paid £30 Instagram promoted my post where I was trying to sell my beats with a "shop now" link. Other times, I've had Google adverts for my website (so it shows in the search bar for similar searches) but no one buys anything. I've even put physical products on my store now and at affordable prices.

What are peoples thoughts on "the new bing" from Microsoft?
Has anyone got access to the pre release? If this is the future of search how do we think this will this affect SEO strategy?

For me, the game-changer has been consistency in creating valuable content. Whether it's blog posts, videos, or social media updates, keeping a regular schedule seems to keep the audience engaged and coming back for more. Building a genuine connection with my followers has also been a game-changer – it's not just about selling a product or idea; it's about building a community. But if you're looking for a little something extra, have you ever heard of CTR manipulation? As for me, it's like a secret weapon to boost your online presence. By strategically increasing your click-through rates on search results or ads, you can climb up the digital ladder and get noticed.

Totally agree, marketing can feel like a hit or miss sometimes. I run a small pet accessories shop online. Initially, I thought just posting product photos on Instagram would do the trick. Nope! It wasn't until I started sharing stories of my own pets using the products and engaging with pet owner communities that I saw a real difference. People responded more to the personal touch and the real-life aspect.

I also dabbled with Facebook ads. Some campaigns flopped while others did surprisingly well, especially the ones targeting specific pet owner groups. It’s been a lot of learning by doing, figuring out what resonates with my audience.

And about staying informed, I’ve used tools like adspy to keep an eye on what others in my niche are doing. It’s pretty enlightening to see the variety of approaches out there.
