Hi everyone,

So I am back again on the forum (I have been on and off for ages) and I am officially working for myself. So in the spirit of that, I have decided to try out matched betting which is something I have never done before.

I have read all the intro posts, and a few more, and I am getting ready to do the Profit Accumulator sign-up. I have a questions though just before I start:

1. I am aiming to start with £100.00 - is that enough do you think?
2. I keep seeing the phrase "bankroll" popping up - is this basically an amount that lives in the chosen bank account each month for doing reload offers? What is a goal amount to get this to if I want to make circa £1000 per month? Do I just skim the profit off this amount at the end of each month (for talks sake)?

Thanks a mil and I think I will keep a wee diary on here and over on my blog, once I get started :)

£100 is enough to get started with no problem.. I started on £40... If you want to skim the profits off the top you wont really make much, you need to build your bankroll.. put the £100 in and take nothing out but instead with all your profits your bank balance builds, the more money you have IN MBing the more you can MAKE, after a year my £40 had become £3700..never removed a penny from MBing in all that time.. at the start i could only do the small offers making a couple of quid at a time, within a few months i could dip into the big offers where you are tying up say £600 on one bet until it ends

Okay that's awesome thanks for that. That makes sense. Would you say you need to get your bankroll to about £3700 or would around £2000 be okay? I want to set myself a goal where I can get to by the end of this year so I am able to skim next year.

Thanks Jon - that gives me some confidence. :) I want to build it up as a wee nest-egg for 2020 to be able to skim from then on. So will use 2019 to build the bankroll I think.

Totally down to yourself and your finances i guess, MBing is different for everyone..some can get into every aspect, others only certain bits... you will know how its working for you yourself, but certainly the more money you have in MBing the more you can do..good luck
