For us we are ALWAYS away as we never have Christmas at Home and at at one of the Centre Parcs on the big day so we tend to get up quite late (as you would on a holiday!), open presents, head out to lunch around 2pm and then go for a big swim to burn off the calories from the dinner and then sort of veg out for the rest of the evening.

As a kid, I remember Christmas stating around 6am when I work up!! Is it a long day for those of you with young kids, I tend to find the whole day quite a relaxing affair really compared to the run up and endless buying of presents.

I enjoy going for a walk, opening presents, and being with family.

I enjoy the cooking (not the washing up!).
I enjoy the sh!t tv!
I enjoy the chocolates off the tree
I enjoy the silly games

This year will be slightly different for us as Aaron won't be home from work until 6:30am so we're going to do presents then he'll head off to bed for a few hours before my mum and his dad arrive with their gifts.

So I'll be prepping dinner, getting things in order and trying to make sure the kid doesn't make too much noise

Then it'll be more gifts, food and movies. Maybe a board or video game.

Well today has been a bit of a disaster!! Hopefully your Christmas Day went better. Me and the wife have been struck down by a flu masquerading as a cold and have been ill as anything! Barely ate any of our lunch and are just totally full of lurgy!
