Hi all,

Ended up with a partially matched bet. Cancelled the unmatched part and try to lay again but i'm pretty sure I've messed up.

My qualifying bet was placed for £10, back odds 1.57 and lay odds 1.57. My inital lay stake was £10.13 but that was partially unmatched. As I said I cancelled unmatched and used

Now i'm left with 2 lay bets one at
£6.94 at 1.57 and
£6.14 at 1.58

Can anyone offer advice?

Thank you

I tried that and still think i've messed up.

I'm at work right now so my brain is frazzled so i'll have to look at it again as at the moment I cant concentrate.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Okay so this is becoming a bit of a loss and I just think I should stop laying completely.

I've tried to fix the lay at 1.58 first

I initially had 6.14 layed at 1.58 and that said fully matched, but according to the calculator I need to lay another £3.92, so I have. Bringing the total to £10.06 layed at 1.58. However under the matched heading its saying in red £0.00. on the new lays.

To be sure, change the filter where smarkets displays your current bets from 'all active bets' to 'unmatched bets'. If your £3.92 hasn't been matched yet it will show up there. If there is nothing there then it is all matched and you're good to go.

I find unmatched bets generally match by the time the event happens

in fact I can't think of one time they haven't for me...

woooo hang on. this is all wrong. Just re-read the first post again. Surely you should be BACKING the same event for £3.92, not laying more. Otherwise you will be in even more of a hole if the selection wins.

I think i'm way down the hole.

My additional lays were showing in red, so they've been cancelled. I'm gonna leave this bet alone now cos it's giving me a headache lol. I'll accept the small loss and mark it as a reminder to check whats available in the market before laying. Lesson learned, just glad it wasn't a substantial bet.

Thanks for the replies though everyone.

Hey @Lolly B

Just wondering how this all ended up? Hopefully you ended up winning on the side you wanted ;)

Hey Jon,

The final result will be that I'll lose about £3 on my qualifying bet. But i'm making atleast £15 tonight. I should have waited for more money to enter the market before cancelling the unmatched bet as I'm pretty confident it would have sorted itself out. I've used this mistake as a training exercise ;)
