@Knopfler: You're welcome. :)

Yeah, I guess you just wait. That's not how I got in with them, so I don't know much about that process. Maybe get in touch with them if you haven't heard from them within a reasonable amount of time.

Photo: Can't remember if I had to, but I was asked to, so I did.

I have now made more than I did last month! Last month, I made £206.54.

With two-and-a-half weeks of the month to go, I look forward to what's possible. :)

I have three ways I'm earning online at the mo': proofreading, mTurk (Amazon - crowd-based tasking platform) and transcription.

Proofreading is my main baby, so I focus the most on that. Then I juggle between turking and transcription depending on time and interest.

Both turking & transcription are new income sources for me. I've been with mTurk for a long while, but wasn't active on it for most of the year 'til last month or so. I got the transcription work through the same folks I did a couple of voice recording tasks for.

Yesterday was a good day, workflow-wise. Larger chunks of proofreading came in, maybe because the study term has resumed. mTurk is usually quiet for me as you don't get as many tasks if you're not based in the US - but yesterday wasn't bad.

I noticed yesterday that I took on an obsession new degree of focus when it comes to earning online. This is good. :)

Update:

I'm happy with the way the proofreading's been going this month on the site I mostly use (TextRanch.com), such that I've decided to aim to make enough to pay my rent with it for this month (I'm not in the UK at the mo' --- my rent where I am is low).

I was previously going to use the proofing proceeds for my credit card bills, but if I can cover my rent with it instead, it would be so much better.

I'm about £60 away from making enough on the site for my rent, and I have until the 27th to do it.

If I reach that, I'll be pweesed. And if there's time left (pre 27th), I'll work towards covering the smaller of my credit card bills and see how that goes.

Wish me luck :). Actually, wish me commitment. Focus, hocus, pocus.

You are doing great!!!

I subscribed to TextRanch a month ago but still haven't heard anything from them... hopefully I will one day, although I live in Central London so paying my rent with them is going to be tough :p

@georginauk: Thank you!

Yes, hopefully you will. Maybe reach out to them to find out what's what.

Yep, rent in Central London is far from cheap! It could help towards the smaller expenses, though, I think.

Just jumping in here - Prolific is likely to improve this month onwards. I think I've had something (nothing big) every day this week from them. Sadly my chrome addon no longer works due to the updates they've made to the site, so I just leave prolific open in a tab and if a (1) comes up in the tab header, I know there's something to be done.

It seems I signed up with Text Ranch some time ago, but never heard anything. Boo! Not to worry, will plod on!
