I’m starting this thread as a couple of people have asked me about the best way to move forward from the sign ups to reloads and accas.
First of all. Make sure you are making the most of the easy money from the weekly free bet clubs. The simple ones are listed below and all you need to do is bet the required amount (you dont have to do it all in one go) and lay it on the exchange using your matched betting calculator in normal mode. You are then credited with a free bet at the end of the week. Rinse and repeat every week.
Remember some require you to opt in first.
Coral: bet £25 between mon and thurs at odds over 2.0 = £5 free bet.
Skybet: bet £25 between mon and sunday at odds over 2.0 = £5 free bet.
Betsafe: place 6 x £10 bets between mon and friday at odds over 1.5 = £10 mobile Safe bet for the weekend.
PaddyPower: 5 x £10 bets between Monday and Sunday at odds over 1.5 - £10 free bet.
Dabblebet: Place 2 x £10 bets on weekend football, fri to sun at odds over 1.8 = £5 free bet.
Now lets look at some reloads.
The reloads or on-going offers are often a little bit more complicated than sign up offers and also usually less generous. However, they are repeatable every week. They usually take the form of bet £X and if Y happens you get a free bet or a bonus payment. The downside to these is that Y has to occur to get the bonus so often you will suffer a qualifying loss if Y doesn’t happen. For this reason, it is very important to keep qualifying losses as low as possible by looking for the best matches and not blindly hitting every offer you see. Try to seek value, and if you know about a particular sport, use that to your advantage to pick the offers that you think are most likely to come in. Horses and Football are the most common and here are a couple of easy ones I suggest you try as an introduction....
3/1 Horses - Weekly offer from Bet fair Sportsbook:
Place a bet of up to £25 on an horse at starting price of 4 or greater in any live Channel 4 race and if it wins get your stake back as a free bet.
My method:
Use an odds checker to find the best matches for the eligible races. (remember the horse must go off at a starting price of at least 4, so its important to back quite close to the race in case its odds suddenly drop) Best to target odds between 5 and 10. (you may find better odds by just manually checking between bookie to smarkets, just before the off)
When you find a good match place the back bet at Betfair Sportbook. I like to Bet £20.
Don’t use any calculators, as long as you got a good match you can make the offer risk free by laying £20.40 at smarkets.
**DO NOT LAY BETFAIR SPORTSBOOK BETS ON BETFAIR'S EXCHANGE**
If your horse wins, you will suffer a small qualifying loss, but get a £20 free bet. If it loses, then you break even with no loss and can go again on another race.
Sky Bets 2nd/3rd place refund. (usually the first channel 4 race on Saturdays or daily during big festivals)
This offer will refund you your stake as a free bet if the horse comes 2nd or 3rd.
Very simple. Just back a horse for £20 in the designated race and lay it on the exchange. Calculate your lay using a matched betting calc in normal mode*. If the horse comes 2nd or 3rd you get a £20 free bet. If it wins or places 4 or worse you will suffer a small qualifying loss.
*Where the odds allow I like to combine this with The betfair offer and pick the same horse. When I lay, I lay the full stake instead of using the calculator which means I will get less in the event of a win but still a good profit and eliminate any losses. It also means you know you will get a pay out if your horse finishes anywhere in the top 3. But you don't have to do this.
William Hill High 5.
For this offer, if your horse wins by 5 lenghts or more WH will pay out a 15% bonus as a free bet. Unfortunately, the bonus has been reduced this year but can still be worth a dabble if you can get a very close match.
Stick to low odds < 5.0 where the horses will have a better chance of winning by a margin. 5 lengths isn’t actually as far as it sounds so it does come in sometimes. Remember to use your WH odds boost if its still available and only go for this one of you can get an exact or very close match. Just back and lay according to the calc in normal mode. Hope for a win by 5 lengths or more for a small bonus free bet. Any other result with be a small loss.
Remember, Odds monkey and Profit accumulator both have racing matchers you can use to help find offers.
And one footy offer to try.
William Hill 4 means more. Here you get a 15% bonus on your winnings if you win and 4 or more goals are scored. The easiest approach to this one is to do a straightforward back and lay and hope you trigger the free bet. However, don’t waste time with very short odds as you are only getting a 15% bonus on winnings, not your stake. So you need odds of at least 1.5 to make it worth while. This weekend’s 4 means more matches are:
Chelsea v Newcastle - Saturday 2nd Dec 12:30
Arsenal v Manchester United - Saturday 2nd Dec 17:30
Bournemouth v Southampton - Sunday 3rd Dec 13:30
Manchester City v West Ham - Sunday 3rd Dec 16:00
Of these, Chelsea and Man City are likely to be too short. So focus on trying to get a good match on one of the other two. You can use your odds boost to make the odds a bit better too.
Again, it is a straightforward back/lay in normal mode and hope your team wins and there are 4 goals or more.
Good luck with these. I’ll add some more ideas next week and hopefully other people will chip in with their favourite offers too. Keep it to the simple ones for now.
