Hi, it is Thomas from Republic of Ireland. IF this post should be in the thread for beginners, then please can admin move it there. Thank you.

PRECAUTIONS

I hope that as an Irish Citizen I can take part in Matched Betting. Well, I got to know about MB maybe a few days ago. Everyone here was at that point one day. Also quite new to Ireland, have lived in UK long time. Originally I am from neither of those Islands but I just like it in Western Europe. The society, the money etc..

I have never played with any bookie and I am already scared of being detected. I am afraid they may track down my location cause of google accounts on laptop and smartphone or that the will use spying system ( I have watched youtube video how to block or remove IEsnare, maybe I would try it).

It came to the point that I just decided to sell my current laptop and mobile phone and buy a new one and never connect to my google account. Can IEsnare detect everything that you are doing on your computer? Like the fact that you are using Oddsmonkey and simply doing MB? How many of you have blocked IEsnare?

Would you use any other programs to block the spying malware? I have heard that some people use them.

Betting odds for Matched Betting

Means what odd would you use for qualifying or a free bet. I have heard from someone that you shouldnt go for more than 4.0 with a free bet cause you may get gubbed quite quickly. But when you go for 4.0 odds even with 99% rating you would get 80% of the amount which would be £4 for a free £5 bet. I was using oddsmonkey trial version yesterday and literally I could only get something like £3.50-£3.70.

Profit that you make (monthly)

Obvious question from a newbie. People have said that if you spend an hour a day on MB you shouldnt get less that £1000 a month. A do have plenty of free time, probably close to 5 hours a day, I wouldnt have to limit myself to an hour. I am not talking first month or sign ups. I am talking every month, average. How much time you would have to sacrifice to hit all of the offers? I mean all of them. All reloads. How many hours a day.

Software against IEsnare

As I said, I have seen on youtube option of manually removing IEsnare although I dont know if you can block it before you ever register with bookies or remove it only once it is there in your system. I have heard also about CCleaner but I dont know this program either. Would you use VPN as well to hide your IP from bookies?

Multiple Accounts

So basically I would like to open one account only but I just feel curious about people that have multiple accounts. I know already that you simply need a 'friend' that will open an account with 70 bookies in his own name and also open a new bank account also in his name (that you will use for depositing and withdrawing the money). Where would you use the account in the name of your friend? At home? Of course I am talking about the problem of having two accounts at the same IP address. Would VPN deal with the problem or you think that you still would get caught? Would you rent a home office (£200 a month in Dublin) or a hostel to use the second account? Just for safety. Do you know any people that have more then 2 accounts? And for example they make it a full time job?

Gubbing

How much time on average would pass before you get gubbed? How has it affected your monthly income? If you are gubbed by most of bookies what would you do? Create another account in someones name? Change the address? Ask them to unban you, lol?

Casinos

Do you do free casino games to do free spins? How much do you spend on this and how much can you earn? Does it pay off to add that to MB?

I pretty much ran out of ideas what to write, I was writing that post a very long time today.

Waiting for your responses!

I wouldn't overly worry about a bookie gubbing you. You aren't going to get into trouble they will just stop you getting free bet offers.

Casino offers can be very lucrative but you need to think LONG TERM with them

I wouldn't rent a separate home just to multi account

Taking 80% value is about spot on for what you want to aim for when it comes to using your free bets

But when you get gubbed then you have no free bets any more, so no more MB. This is what I mean.

I wouldn't use a VPN.

So what would you use for a multiple account? Cause I guess you cant use 2 different accounts with same IP number.

Some sites will gub right away - one did that to me before I had finished the opening promotion. Others have let me bet for years. I don't doubt some people make £1000 a month but a couple of gubbings can put paid to that. I imagine I will make a couple of thousand this year as I am not prepared to take risks and don't do things such as accas.

I decided to post another question in my own thread. I would like to start registering with bookmakers but my flatmate is register with a few of them as well. Would that result in gubbing? I thought about using VPN but actually I have read that Bet365 doesnt accept VPN, I mean that VPN users cannot play with Bet365. At the same time Bet365 has 2 up offers, so it is probably the best bookmaker. I am not sure if I can register freely. Also, I have heard that Betfred doesnt accept 2 people from one IP at all...

Another thing is how much money do I need at bookies and how much at exchange to be sure that I can do all of the bets available?

And the last one for now, why does OddsMonkey recommend Betfair when it has the highest commmision. I believe Smarkets has 0% when you are registered with some website and normally still just 2%.

Thank you for replies

I wouldn't say your flatmate already having a few bookie accounts will make a difference. it WOULD make a difference if they were bonus hunting like you are going to be.

I would think of it less as 'how much do i need at the bookies and the exchange' and more 'how much do I need to have in my kitty to do the offers'

Betfair exchange is very easy to start with and has a lot more markets from experience than smarkets does. As you get more confident going matched betting you can easily just use smarkets instead

Have a question about VPN - can I use it to change my IP address to British one, just to be able to sign up and use the offers? I live in Ireland so some of the, would not be available.

Also, I would like to ask if I can use VPN for some bookies only (can you switch VPN on and off?) because as I said with VPN you probably cannot use Bet365.

I've personally never used a VPN for matched betting - you may get the answer you need from asking customer support at OddsMonkey / Profit Accumulator / Whoever you decide to use.

Don't know about 2 people sharing the same address, but there's nothing to be lost in signing up and trying. You won't be able to fake where you live because most bookies will ask for ID to prove your address.

Need anywhere between £1000 and £2000 in the exchange to hit all the offers but in the bookies you only need what you are going to place on bets for that day.

I don't think many people earn £1000 a month matched betting anymore, btw.

I wouldn't tbh, because SOME bookies (used to - not had a big win for a while so not had to check) have a policy about NO VPNs. As it can allow people from other countries to gamble etc.

Welcome to the forum! It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous about starting matched betting, especially with concerns about privacy and detection. Many beginners have shared similar worries, but with the right guidance, you'll soon feel more confident.
Regarding IEsnare, it's wise to take precautions, but completely blocking it might not be necessary. Have you considered reaching out to experienced matched bettors for advice and reassurance? They can offer valuable insights and tips to help ease your concerns.
By the way, if you're a football fan, sites like this Manchester United betting platform? It's a great way to stay connected with your favorite teams while exploring matched betting.
