£6 Streetbees

Read all the materials for my first exam for Transcribe Me. Will take it tomorrow.
Booked a nice earning mystery shop for the end of the week.

I made it to Roamler level 4, yay!

Spent the whole of today working on the Quickstep exam for Transcribe Me, only to fail it. Well annoyed as I thought I followed all the rules to the letter! I submitted it anyway as I'm hoping they'll review it manually and might let me pass. Otherwise I can try it again in a couple of weeks. Ho hum.

Tomorrow I will try the transcriber exam from them which I hope will be easier and shorter. At least the style guide is nearly the same as for Quickstep so I've already learned most of it.

Also have an ESA mystery shop tomorrow that is paying well for a few questions so was chuffed to find that.

A very satisfying day. I passed the easier Transcribe Me exam. They got back to me about my other one and said I didn't score high enough to pass but I could try again in 2 weeks. I think after practicing on the small files I will be better equipped for the hard exam next time.

I got my blog approved for AdSense and Media.net. The Media.net ads are up and running. The Google ones I have wait for I think before they fully activate my account.

Worked on building up the social media presence for the blog today and connected with some other bloggers.

Oh, and I managed to fit in a nice easy ESA mystery shop for £6.

Good luck with media.net
I'm doing great guns with them over on the blog

My advice on TotallyBlogging still stands in that use Ads Advanced plugin and place on a paragraph down and another 2 paragraphs from the bottom ;)

Thanks @Jon. I've got the paragraph down one sorted. I didn't know there was an option to do 2 up from the bottom. I'll take a look :D

Not much earning going on aside from a little 20p survey on Curious Cat and 84p on Transcribe Me. It was the first real transcription work I have tried. Took about half an hour because the audio I received was pretty tricky.

Mainly I've been working on my blog and learning how to improve my posts for SEO. Also spent 3 hours trying to get an email subscription box to appear at the end of my posts! I got there in the end though, and I've also learnt how to insert jump links and symbols, so pretty pleased with the progress. My readership is creeping up nicely as well.

Reading your blog posts always make me feel tired. I don't know how you manage to squeeze so much into a day!
Oh no, hope I'm not being too boring!
I do have to give myself a talking to sometimes, especially when it's 4am and I've been on my phone for an hour after my little one has gone back to sleep

I think in terms of earning this week is going to be a quiet one, but my blog is looking so much better for having some solid time dedicated to it. I've finished Yoasting them all and done images for all of them. That meant I could get them pinned on Pinterest and I posted them on Google+ and Twitter too.

I spent a while figuring out how to get my AdSense sidebar ad up and running. It was a lot of trial and error but I finally managed to get my bit of white space there ready for the ads... only to find out I had been declined because the site was 'hard to navigate'. I spent a good deal of time hunting around for the issues and hopefully I found them all. In the process I learnt how to make a navigation menu for all my blog posts so I was pleased with that.

Meanwhile my Media.net ads all work fine and are already earning. They can't seem to do enough for you whereas with AdSense I felt a bit confused by their accusation of 'policy violation'. Made me feel like a criminal!

I'm trying out Qmee and Vypr for the blog post on smartphone apps after @fraserbooks recommend them. Thank you!

Got some mystery shops booked in with RedWigWam and they repeat for the next few weeks, so that will give me an earnings boost. Did a little bit more transcription as well and a 90p survey.

@Queen Jess I checked - it should be showing up. It does for me, but only if I'm logged in on desktop. I can't see sigs for anyone when on the mobile site version. Is that normal?

Ah yes that must be it - I am forever on a phone rather than my laptop. If you go into your account details though, there is an option to add your website and I believe it will then come up at the top of your post everytime (even on mobile).

I think I must have the same Redwigwam jobs. Does it involve buying flavoured milk? I can't figure out my adsense sidebar. They have given me a code but I can't work out where to post it. My mystery shop today was just buying three cookies. (Not Redwigwam). At this rate I will need a subscription to slimming world.
