Now up to £1700 this month.
I created a couple things for Etsy but haven't received any sales yet.

Ive spent the past couple days creating an excel niche analysis report which was originally just going to be for personal use. But I've now realised that I can sell it. I'm waiting on someone using it to get their feedback and then have to decide how much to charge for it. I'm thinking maybe $20 with the first few weeks with a 50% off code.

I'm hoping to also create a Facebook group in the next few weeks so I can start building up a following of people.

Awesome. Is that mainly from Christmas do you think, or repeatable throughout the year?
A large amount was for Christmas and also from planners and diaries but I still had stuff sell that sells consistently throughout the year.

I'm going to take some of the niches that sold as planners and try work out what to sell in the rest of the year in that niche.

View attachment 1259My final results for December.

I made more on KDP than I did in my day job!
That is fantastic, congratulations! I'm starting to look into this now. Watched one of Rachel HS's videos (brainstorming the simple lined journal!) so need to crack on this month as need to get some passive income streams going :)

Are you selling simple planners or bespoke designed planners?

My planners tend to be quite simple but they all have added elements to them which make them unique. I probably made around £700 or £800 from only 8 planners (in 2 niches)

Next year, I will take what I learnt from my planners this year and scale it up.

@amyjay, a really basic issue that's been bugging me - Total Pages.

Does the total page count only include the interior uploaded? I'm reading that the interior needs an even number of pages - which pages do you include at the start? A "this book belongs to____" page & a separate copyright page?

I don't tend to bother with either of them most of them.

Occasionally I do a this book belongs to but I've never done copyright.

Do the number of pages you want, doesn't need to be even numbers.

Total page count is interior only.

Going well.

I average around £1000 a month, sometimes more.

I've got a range of seasonal books that I released 3 weeks ago that have made over £500 so far.

It should hopefully continue for June and July aswell and these books should hopefully make me around £2000 - £3000 in total.

That's awesome @amyjay . It really sounds as though you are enjoying it too which is the important thing. Totally well done, your efforts are paying off!

Great to hear @amyjay ! I'm inspired to keep going. Do you think it'll get to the point where you can ditch the day job?

I'm hoping so, but probably not for a few years. I need to get a mortgage first with my current income.
I've also started listing a few things on Etsy, merch and redbubble. Only had a few sales as I've not concentrated much on it yet, but I'm trying to build up an income on multiple platforms.
