Brilliant stuff, still waiting on Prolific to wake up for me. Hopefully it does soon.

Thanks! I always have good intentions, but life seems to always get in the way and things change :) Hopefully I can keep this one going for a while and make some good progress.

On surveys it is unsurprising that Prolific is the best (£18.49 this week!) and definitely the least time spent. Then for me I managed to make £11.81 at Global testmarket. The rest tend to be a few quid (Panelbase, Valued opinions, branded surveys, One poll). The valued opinions ones are good as there are lots, but I find lots of the surveys get boring so I don't take very many.

I'll keep the low burners for a while (Newvista and YouGov) and consider if they make sense over a longer time period. I got £1 or so from each of these this week. I actually just put my cheque into the bank for Newvista and already got to £6 online.

You put your WHAT in the bank??

A cheque??????

They pay via Cheque???

I thought the bad days of pinecone surveys paying with Luncheon Vouchers were behind us all!!

Yep.. Newvista is a cheque and I think YouGov is too (never cashed out from that one)!

Me again! Not a huge amount of progress, but been continuing playing with surveys and figuring out which ones work for me and which ones do not. I only have 2 weeks of data, so will continue tracking them. I also scoured @katykicker blog to see if there are any other survey sites I should throw into the mix to trial, so have a couple more to try out.

Been quite busy with work this week, so not achieved too much. I restarted some matched betting this morning and wondered why I didn't do that before; it was actually quite enjoyable after doing quite a lot of casino only offers in the past few weeks. Definitely need to step up the matched betting a bit.

Finding my £70 a week grocery budget quite hard. We don't waste any food anymore and I am cooking from scratch all the time, but stuff is just expensive. I am hoping I will catch up next week (currently about £20 over budget this week) as I am stocked up on quite a lot of things (I buy certain things fortnightly) and still have a fair few batch cooking meals in the freezer to use up.

So overall slow progress, but still some progress. I am already making the most I have ever made on survey sites!

Maybe you could look for some cheaper meals to make? Also can you bulk out with more veggies etc to save on the price of meat/make it go further? x

Well I am slowly convincing husband not all meals need meat... I do have a couple of luxuries which I refuse to give up since I never buy myself anything. I haven't gone a month yet, so will see how it goes. Although rolled over a negative to this week, I realised that it was spent the week before and I have actually slightly reduced it... So there is hope!

Will give it a few more weeks and see what happens. I have had to buy some stuff I don't buy very often like dishwasher tablets, washing powder and swimming nappies that pushed my bill up.

I will take a look at your blog at some point for some slow cooker inspiration!

I've got maybe 25 recipes there, always trying to find the time to upload more! Good luck x

Ok - decided to organise myself a bit better today and also listed out a load of earnings per hour based on 5 mins, 10 mins, 20 mins etc etc so I have a good comparison for surveys. It was a bit of an eye opener for some of the Valued Opinion surveys... they seem to pay no more than £3.75 an hour. Got up today, set up Swagbucks to run for me checked prolific and onepoll a few times and then left it all to go.

I did a £1 Streetbees mission from home. Not sure what I think about this app yet. Noticed that BeMyEye had something for a shop I was going to anyway and so I did that one. Apart from feeling a bit stupid in the store (although amazing how many people ignore that you are using a phone walking around..), I am not utterly convinced I did an amazing job on it. The number of things I had to take photos of meant I basically had to take photos of the whole store which took a while. I guess we'll see if it gets accepted. I did go back through after to tidy it up. It also totally drained my phone battery!

Curious cat I keep getting screened out from all the time and it's getting pretty annoying. Will leave it for a bit and see if it picks up.. if not, that one will be deleted.

Hello Queen Jess

I used to do full mystery shops but not so much now. I did Roamler last week in Tesco where I had to do a paid tester job. It was rejected as it happened, silly oversight on my part. I felt utterly self conscious though. It's ok when you are snapping individual shelves but rows of shelves at a time is a bit disconcerting. Maybe I need to develop a thicker skin! Good luck

If you’re struggling to keep in your food budget - have you looked at sites like Cooking on a Bootstrap? I’ve never seen one of her meals cost more than £1 a person. They’re usually like 31 - 67 pence give or take.

You are doing so well. I think I am going to start a diary like this to motivate myself. It has really helped reading through this, gives me an idea of what works and what doesn't. Thank you.

Yikes.. so December is shaping up to be ridiculously busy and pretty horrible at work. Main aim this month I think will be to get safely through to xmas without being too stressed out, not spending a fortune on food and making £150 at a minimum. Anything above that will be a bonus!

Managed to set up some matched betting this morning and did some surveys last night, so making some good progress. Haven't tracked the week's food shopping yet, but it's not too bad this week and planned to make a chicken roast later which will save money as we'll get another 2 meals out of it in the week. I think I can get back on track without giving up some of my food luxuries (especially as bought lots of one-off items I only buy 1-2 times a year in the last few weeks). Time will tell..

On the plus side I had a small pay rise this year, so that will help.

Yes I don't get on with them much as I just feel silly doing it and it takes me ages! Really do need to get over that though!

December is turning out even worse than I expected.... am updating my CV as we speak and job hunting :(

On the plus side, I just won £70 on a slot machine matched betting so exceeded my £150 aim for the month! Will be back when/if things calm down a little..

Hows the promotion for ya circus website going? Has the site turned a profit yet?

No. Not been doing anything with it for ages. TBH I am barely able to get through each day with the things in life I have to do and so just not had any time.

At last work is finished for me until 7 Jan and I have already reached my money target for this month. Rushed around all day and now sitting down enjoying a gin and tonic in my gin and tonic glass (thanks to work secret santa..). I so need a break!

Right, so been looking at budgeting for 2019 in the past few weeks and realised that my mortgage 2 year fix is up just over halfway through 2019. So, going to chuck whatever cash I make at the mortgage to try and reduce the ongoing payments before I fix again.

Not doing much now until Jan - having a nice break!
