I do MS to get free meals and always do the pet shop ones on RA to get free dog and cat food. They don’t pay well but meals out I see as a free treat and the pet food is saving me some cash so worth it. Recently did a great one for Grassroots where I got a free swim and managed to bag a weeks free trial at the same time which we will use over the holidays! A few cheap days out sorted!

yeah that's a good way to look at it.

I used to do Pret shops for breakfast and then Subway / Wetherspoons for lunches HOWEVER this was back when you used to get your entire bill refunded, that doesn't seem to be the case so much anymore ;(

I used to do a super market cafe so I could have a coffee and cake with my weekly groceries. I have done a few stately homes which were interesting and a couple of train trips. I once had a Disney store come up just before Christmas which pleased my grandson. You don't earn much but you sometimes get useful freebies.

Don't think I've EVER seen a Disney store check from any of the Mystery Shopping companies I worked with in the past!

But then I don't see the Jet2 / Weekends away in Spain being offered anymore either!

Maybe a lot of companies are just taking this sort of stuff in house now!

I still use Marketforce from time to time. The fees are barely worth it though but it's reimbursement for a lunch or takeaway that I like
I used to use them but I thought that they had closed up shop. Is there anyone who actually pays for work now, instead of free food vouchers? lol

Market Force is still going strong, they have loads of work on there at the moment, same as the apps like Roamler, BeMyEye

Lots of money to be made ;)

BeMyEye have a task local to me, but it sounds like loads of hassle for a few quid.

I've just been having a browse on Market Force..

I would say that all the customer experience / in store checking type work has now gone over to the links of BeMyEye / Roamler etc.

At the moment MF for me is pure FOOD!

Greggs, Pubs, FiveGuys etc. All the 'in and out' type work

Unless of course, the customer experience stuff has gone to the likes of Retail Active and co

the landscape sure seems to have changed (with the fees going down!)
What is Retail Active?

I notice Marketforce now expect you to do most shops for free, just the expenses paid - which i the case of wetherspoons has not increased in at least 5 years.

Then after nobody is doing them- they are bumping a fee on at last moment. A few in my area were showing 0.00 fee and then on Friday went to £9 - would have been better just to give a lower fee in the firstplace .

I noticed this too! The Five Guys assignments don't pay you anything for doing the job, you only get paid for the food you order and they don't even do a 100% reimbursement, so unless you work nearby and need to grab some food for lunch, it's not worth doing it. You are basically working for free. It's only when it's very close to the deadline that they pay out around £3 for doing the job, whereas before I remember that The Five Guys assignment fees were £7.50!
