** Nationwide have "paused" the Recommend a Friend scheme during the Coronavirus pandemic. No new referral links are able to be generated **

Nationwide are offering £100 each to new customers and to their recommender when they join Nationwide using the online switch service. Just switch current accounts via the online forms, making sure to comply with the T&Cs and we'll both receive £100 paid into our accounts.

In order to qualify you must switch to a Nationwide FlexAccount, FlexDirect or FlexPlus current account using their switch service, transfer at least two active direct debits and tick the box to close your old account. You must not close or transfer the account again for a minimum of three months or they'll take the money back. Once the switch is complete you'll be given a unique Switch Code, then all you need to do is use the Referral Link and enter the code, then we'll both get £100. No personal information is exchanged between us.

Once you're a member of Nationwide you can start referring people yourself, up to 5 per tax year, earning another £100 for each of them.

To other users posting their own Recommend a Friend links, please refrain from offering to split rewards. It is unfair to anyone who hasn't made the same offer, as they are likely to be overlooked by people looking to be referred. We should all have an equal chance to make referrals.

Hi all!

I have 5 friend recommendations remaining for this tax year which results in £100 extra for you and £100 extra for me.

To get the £100, you will need to switch your main current account to a Nationwide FlexAccount, FlexPlus or FlexDirect account within 90 days of the recommendation, and transfer at least two Direct Debits as part of the switch.

It's a very easy process just PM me for a referral code and I can also help talk you through it if need be!

**18/7/18 I've got one referral that is ready and waiting to be sent. I was asked for one a week or so ago but the person has not responded so as of now it can be sent immediately if anyone wants it**

No personal details are required to get the referral code, just your email address to send you the link. Once you start the process of switching to Nationwide and have your switch reference code (which you should be able to locate a few days later when you can access your new acct - it will begin FSWxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) you can then enter this into the the referral form and your £100 will be in your new acct from Nationwide within approx 30 days from when your switch completed.

You can open a 'dummy' account with another account then switch the dummy account and keep your main account. I've done it many times!
