I currently use Vstore as my shopping cart and over the last few years it just gone down hill. There is no support like there used to be and its so slow that it can take 5 minutes for a page to open so i can update a product. Since the start of the year I've been thinking about giving up on it but I've kept trying with it and posting lots in their forum to try and encourage others to do so as well but its just not working.

I don't want to give up totally, just need a fresh start with a new shopping cart that actually works.

I have tried opencart and did like it but I found it a little confusing, might be worth another look maybe.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

do you not have cpanel within your hosting package?

you can usually click on 'demo' on any software within Softaculous and try software out...

Its all done online, there is no uploading files (other than my images) Its so simple to use, but there isn't really anyway you can customise it as you have to stick to their templates.

iF YOU ARE starting afresh now might be the time to come out from behind that walled garden as they say

yes you will need to go through a bit of a learning curve, same as people that leave Blogger for self installed WordPress but in the long run you can do what you want and I would hope can control SEO a lot more as well

As always I Recommend Vidahost

use JUSTASK for 20% off hosting etc

you can easily move your domain to them

they run cpanel which is a 'one click' solution for installing software on your site.
